At Home: Harrisonburg, VA

  1. Dave's Taverna

121 S Main St, Harrisonburg, VA
"I lived all over Virginia from the time I was seven until after college. I grew up in Northern Virginia and then relocated to Harrisonburg Virginia for college. Every time I head back there, I always have a few spots that are a "must hit" for me." When I'm back in the 'burg (Harrisonburg, VA), I always hit up a place called Dave's Taverna. Since college, I've always eaten there. It's by far the coolest place to eat in the 'burg. It has live music, and just a cool vibe. Not to mention, the food is great. I always end up getting this appetizer that has different Mediterranean eats on it."

  2. Red Lobster

2121 E Market St, Harrisonburg, VA
"Another restaurant I'll hit in the 'burg is Red Lobster. Because I used to work there, it's a bit nostalgic for me. The food's good, and the prices are fair. I like it."

  3. The Pub

    Deyerle Ave, Harrisonburg, VA
"If I'm going to hit up a bar out there, I'll hit "The Pub" without flinching. It's huge, has pool tables on one side, a stage on the other and is always packed with hot JMU girls. It's the most fun you'll have in H'burg without going to the house parties! Everyone there is just out to have a great time."

On the Road

  1. The Griddle Cafe

7916 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA
"The best place for breakfast in LA is called "The Griddle" on Sunset and Fairfax. They have huge pancakes made like you've never seen! Be ready for a wait on the weekends, because it's that good."

  2. Cabo Cantina

8301 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
"Great happy hour, great food, it's always crazy! However, if you like authentic Mexican spots like this, you should also make a trip south of the border to Puerto Nuevo. They have amazing fresh lobster and seafood at unbeatable prices! It's a short cab ride from Rosarito."

  3. Sunset Trocadero Lounge

8280 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA
"It's definitely a hot spot, without being trendy. There's a patio right on the Strip. Great service, not too expensive, and if you're hungry, you can get great appetizers."

  4. Boulevard Lounge

1114 N Crescent Heights Blvd, West Hollywood, CA
"If I'm with a group of friends and feel like going to a bar where we can sit down and have fun, I'll go to "The Boulevard" on Santa Monica and Crescent Heights. It has a late night happy hour and awesome appetizers."

  5. The Lobster

1602 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica, CA
"If you want a nice sit-down restaurant with a view of the ocean, then definitely go to "The Lobster" in Santa Monica. Try and get a table near the back window so you can check out the view."
