In Short
The red-checkered tablecloths and cafeteria-style, walk-through service line give Cousin's Barbeque Pit a very comfortable and casual feel. Since 1983, this "Cowtown" resto has been smoking, slicing and serving all kinds of grade "A" or better beef. Favorites include sliced beef brisket, Texas pork ribs, smoked German sausage and hot links. Meats are available in plates, combos or as a sandwich. Chicken plates are also available by the half or by the quarter.
Better than Angelo's!

This is hands down the best BBQ in North Texas! Not only do they have multiple locations to choose from, they simply know how to make some great Texas BBQ! Try it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
2nd Best BBQ

After Angelo's, this is proably the second best BBQ restaurant in the Metroplex (although the ribs are NOT recommended). The beef brisket sandwiches are superb, especially when supplemented with the free garnishes that are available for all customers, both eating in and take-out customers. Garnishes include sliced onions (both red & white), sliced homemade pickles (absolutely delicious!), sliced jalapenos and peppers. You couid almost make a meal of the garnishes by themselves! Add them in quantity to your sandwich and it's a real taste treat!! The side dishes at the counter with your BBQ are also well worth checking out--hand-cut French Fries, baked beans, and fresh fruit cobbler (in blackberry, cherry, and peach depending on availability). Cousin's is well-worh your time, check 'em out!
- Pros: inexpensive, beef brisket, garnishes
- Cons: ribs
