Joe's bad joke

Steamer pott was terrible and expensive. I think Captain Dee's is better. Stay away from this one.
- Pros: none
- Cons: parking cost bad food
Joe's is my absolute favorite place to eat...in the world!

I am NOT a huge seafood fan, but I absolutely love Joe's Crab Shack. The first time we went, my husband had to drag me inside and I pouted the entire time we were there...until the food arrived. My husband ordered the Crab Nachos as an appetizer (which made me furious because I hate crab.) WRONG!!!!! I ate over half of the crab nachos and was IN LOVE! (I order them every time I visit now.) Because I was still pouting when we ordered, I settled for shrimp (normally the only seafood I like) but we ended up sharing both our meals because I LOVED the crab cakes my husband ordered. The next time we went, we took the kids and they both ordered popcorn shrimp- which I was sure they would never eat. WRONG again! They received HUGE portions and ate until they were stuffed, then took their leftovers home for lunch the next day. JOE'S IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE RESTAURANT!
- Pros: Fun atmosphere, great food, great prices!
- Cons: NONE- SERIOUSLY!
Honey Noooo!
by Amarie
I ordered the steampot and it had no flavor at all. It was totally BLAND. The staff was dead and the bathrooms were filthy. Will I be back? HONEY NOOOOO!
- Pros: What a Joke
- Cons: A very bad joke
Not pleased

My husband and I had lunch here on Mother's Day. I settled on the crab cake sliders and he ordered the Steampot (crab legs, shrimp, sausage, etc.) My sliders were absolutely disgusting. I have never tasted crab that was so fishy in my life. Even canned crab has a better taste. We didn't think you could mess up crab legs, but boy, were we wrong! The first bunch tasted like Windex. They got better after that but were completely over seasoned with Old Bay. The best part of the meal were the french fries and the kid's pizza. Pretty sad coming for a so-called seafood restaurant. My husband ordered a beer and our server completely forgot about it until our food was brought out and we asked for it again. When he brought the beer over, he didn't ask how the food was. Not once were we asked if we liked it. We had a $50 bill after tip for a terrible meal. I will not be returning here again.
- Pros: None that I could see
- Cons: Everything
Good food & good service
by CSMobileUser2
The food was good and we had a good host and waiter. The bathroom was cold. Parking could be a problem.
A colorful seafood restaurant for kids of all ages--especially the younger ones.

In Short
Admittedly kitschy, unavoidably noisy, this Red Lobster for rug rats is like an oversized seaside shanty awash in oceanic memorabilia--fishing nets, souvenir trinkets, plastic flotsam and jetsam. Staffed with a lively crew of G-rated table-dancing servers, the family-friendly chain anchors its menu in all things crab: Crab balls, crab cakes, crab dip, crab gumbo. Finicky children opt for corndogs or hamburgers; shellfish-phobic adults dine on rib eye steak or mesquite-grilled chicken.
Terrible customer service
by jtigerlily
Very disappointed in service. Arrived, seated quickly. Remained seated approx 30-45 minutes. Waiter finally arrived and began to make jokes with the table next to us about how we were mad because we had to wait. Result we left.
Good Prices For Seafood.
by wildmanaaron
Excellent location. This is a place you need to visit at least once. The seafood is good and there is a big variety of food to order. The food is fairly inexpensive for seafood dining!
Overpriced yow!
by ptfanalwys
Sat out on the upstairs terrace, received good service but lack of order for food arrival. Ordered appetizer which was brought after our salad, that followed shortly by the entree. The answer, no more appetizer.
- Cons: overpriced
