Spats is an awesome restaurant in downtown State College. They offer a wide variety of cajun dishes including jambalaya, blackened catfish, crawdadies and more... If you like spicy food then you will love Spats because the chef is willing to make any of the dishes as hot as you want. Spats has both liquor and beer and a number of tasty deserts. Give it a try!

Great food and service. Plan to spend a little more than fast food....but well worth it. If you like to try new things...this is your place. Highly Recommend

This by far is my favorite restaurant in State College. The food is Cajun/Creole New Orleans style. There is so much to choose from - all delicious. You can even get alligator! My favorite is the gumbo soup. The only drawback is that they do not take reservations, which isn't much fun during a crazy football weekend.
