The meals at Spats offer New Orleans creole dishes. They are exceptionally good. The meals are on the expensive side but there's a trick to getting around this. You should work around the left side of the building and go to the Rathskellar instead. It offers most of the same dishes as upsatirs for much less cost to you.

Great food and service. Plan to spend a little more than fast food....but well worth it. If you like to try new things...this is your place. Highly Recommend

This by far is my favorite restaurant in State College. The food is Cajun/Creole New Orleans style. There is so much to choose from - all delicious. You can even get alligator! My favorite is the gumbo soup. The only drawback is that they do not take reservations, which isn't much fun during a crazy football weekend.
