Over priced and NOT Impressive!!

by loriace69

This was my first experience with this place. It was me and 2 of my friends and we were on a time limit of 1 1/2 hrs. (You would think that would be plenty of time) They sat us in the back we waited 10 minutes for water, then we waited another 5 minutes for menus!! Then we waited a good 15 minutes for are order to be taken.

Since we waited all this time we all got a bowl of soup and spring rolls. Sounds simple right? Well we waited 10 minutes for are soup it was luke warm almost cold.

The soup was tastey . I do feel it was over priced $5.95

for not even a 1/2 cup of soup when it was suppose to be a bowl! The manager who took are order acted like we were a bother, I did inform her we were on a time limit. The only nice thing I could say is the bartender Ralph was friendly. Also the place was not the cleanest the floors were dirty, and theree was water coming in at the seams of the wall...Very dark and gloomy place.

When I visited my children last year,my daughter took me to P JBrown's.What a wonderful decision. The food is incredible,so much flavor. The service was very professional and friendly. To top it off you have the wonderful leisurely atmosphere of this place.I am planning on visiting again this year(I live on the west coast)and my mouth is already watering just thinking of their onion soup, now I know how it was meant to taste!Keep up the good work.I would recommend this place to anyone. If you're on a budget try Thursday nights, they have a special.Just treat yourself and try it!

  • Pros: The food, service and atmosphere are a winning combo.

Wonderful!

by iupnut325

I eat at PJ Browns often. On Thursday night's they have a special, two meals for $25, which includes soup, salad and your meal. Which is great deal for a place where the food is amazing. They have the best soup I've ever eaten. The salads are a fun blend of mixed greens with walnuts and rasins. The main courses are amazing. I personally am a fan of the siered porkcutlet. Yumm-o!

Ralph the bartender/waiter is very friendly and one of the best damn bartenders I've ever had. He makes AMAZING DRINKS. If you don't plan on spending a lot of money, I would advise getting a drink. While they are good, they are very expensive. For example, the hubby and I went there one night just for drinks. We had three drinks a piece, our bar tab was $65 bucks...

A great choice! You won't be disappointed!

i went to pj browns, not knowing anything about it, by a friends invitation. I couldnt imagine..in little old Saltsburg,Pa? I was amazed. It surpassed many, many Pittsburg restaurants, and at much lower the cost. The food is WONDERFUL!! I went on a wednesday, and it wasnt really busy, but I must say the service was particularly delightful and professional! I WILL go back...

  • Pros: great food, great service, leisurely..not RUSHED
