not the best Red Robin

Don't get me wrong, I love Red Robin. The fries are amazing, and they don't stop coming. Burgers are excellent, although a little high priced. The problem with the Salem location is the service. They tend to be slower than other locations, and the servers are usually rude. This is a consistant problem. The food keeps me coming back, but I'd rather drive to Albany or another location unless I have time and patience.

• Pros: Great food
• Cons: Poor Service

Colorful, chaotic restaurant promises loaded burgers and endless fries for kids and a fully stocked bar for their parents.

With a bright red color scheme, enormous booths and TVs galore (even in the bathrooms), this loud, lively spot aims to make families feel right at home. The creative menu offers 22 different burgers--from teriyaki-marinated Bansai with grilled pineapple to the 5 Alarm with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, salsa and chipotle mayo. Soups, salads, and entrees of fajitas, fish and chips and Cajun-spiced shrimp round out the casual American menu.

Don't come here unless you have 2 or 3 hours to spare

My date and I were seated and waited about 20 minutes before the waiter arrived to take our order. After another 30 minutes the waiter stopped to say that he forgot to input our order for the kitchen and that he put a rush on our order now. Another 15 minutes and he brought out our food. The food looked like it had been thrown together last minute and my date's order was not even what she had originally ordered (she has health related dietary restrictions). When I drew the waiter's attention to these oversights, he had to go talk to his manager about it. I shared my food with my date because we were starving and late for our movie. The waiter returned and offered to provide free dessert due to all of the delays and errors with our order. I let him know that we didn't have time for dessert and would appreciate if they could comp part of the meal instead and bring the final bill right away. After about 15 minutes, the manager came out and tried to talk us into staying longer for dessert. I asked again for the bill and we got up to leave. Red Robin sure knows how to not listen to customers and how to spoil a date.

• Cons: Slow, unattentive service, don't go here for dates or business meetings

Love Red Robin! But Salem Service Not the Best

Love Red Red Robin for its easy get in and get out service. This Salem location is consistently not the greatest on the service side. Plan for more time if you choose to eat at this Red Robin. Tried to inform management of my issues....but no one working at the restaurant even knows who the General Manager is. (I asked 3 different Staff members.)

When in Salem I would recommend making another choice to keep your day on a positive note.

• Cons: Service not to Par on a Regular Bases.
