Like bad wedding food.
Who ever thought that someones ability to peel a baby carrot and a few baby turnips made for fine dining is the same person that is sure that Don Johnson is sure to make a comeback on that show in
Miami.
What a joke. You look out onto a parking lot and are "treated" service that would remind you of your grandfathers country club. I would have to say that the food was directly from an 80s wedding. They served us cheese bread that was cold, the starters were uninspired and to top it all off they charged us $18.00 for a Manhattan.
We had gone to the Stephanie Inn for our anniversary, wound up sending our food back and went to Manzanita and ordered a pizza and had it on the beach. It was TONS better than the Stephanie Inn.
Honestly I think they should be ashamed charging what they do and calling it fine dining. Its as if they are taking advantage of people from out of the area.
I would recommend that if you are looking to have a great diner...stay away. If you are looking to spend a great deal of money for sub par old school country club food...go for it.…
Great coastal dining experience. We have been here twice this summer. They offer a fixed course menu with excellent northwest dishes. Steaks have been great, crab risotto was excellent, and the wine pairings are well planned. I would have given 5 stars, however; with a coastal restaurant you would expect an ocean view for the location, but like others have said, it is of the parking lot. However; view aside, the service and food are great and this place is definitely worth a visit.…
Expensive dinner not worth the money. Dinner was a disappointment. View is of parking lot, steak overdone, salad wilty, service was great, but overall effect: cheesy.
Surprisingly unprofessional.
My husband and I have had the opportunity to stay at many high-end hotels in our travels throughout the years. We chose The Stephanie Inn for our wedding and beginning of our honeymoon and were so
grossly disappointed at the end of our stay. The staff and managers were extremely uptight and rude, consistently interrupting our conversations with friends and family throughout our event and into the next day. They disrespected our family and guests with snide comments and I was physically pushed by one of the male managers. We were very sad by this forceful behavior and wanted only to quietly celebrate with a wild ocean view and some privacy, but did not receive the latter. Although the view is beautiful, the price does not nearly equal the experience. Do yourself a favor and stay at a hotel in the same area where you will be treated with the respect you deserve.
But for the record, the food in the restaurant was incredible and fresh.…
Luxurious digs for couples in the shadow of Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach..
The Scene
This romantic getaway is designed for couples who want privacy, luxury and access to natural beauty. Guests generally emerge from their well-appointed rooms only to stroll upon
the dramatic Oregon beach or to dine at the excellent restaurant. Think New England country inn transplanted on the wild Oregon coast.
The Details
Many of the 46 rooms and four suites look out onto the ocean, and some offer a fireplace and/or Jacuzzi. Other intimate luxuries include silk robes and DVD players. The romantic dining room is visually impressive with open wood beams and a massive river rock fireplace. The chef serves fresh, innovative Northwest cuisine--salmon is on the menu, of course--followed by delish hand-crafted desserts.…
