New Menu. went to Ginos last nite, they took a few signature dishes off the new menu, no shrimp scampi, chicken florentine, sole. no garlic bread !! service was slower then usual. did gordon ramsey make a visit cos' if not the new mgmt screwed the pooch on this one. chix rollintine with spinich came out with a dark sauce, it was ok but looked nasty. if they don't go back to the old menu, it will be matteos

how the mighty have fallen. this used to a really good upscale pizzeria. now the previous owner died and the relatives have taken over. changes are being made slowly and not for the better. the coffee/cappuccino is really good but at close to 5 bucks a cup, and from what i see no refills ,it better be! the wait staff is excellent but who knows how they are going to fare out with the new management. the prices are high but always have been. before it was worth the extra money but not anymore. trying to stay with it and hopefully ride out the bad decisions but it is getting harder to do so. if you are looking for a place keep looking-this one isn't worth it anymore.

Popular As a Legendary Place, Not the Food. i live within the area and the few block walk is not even worth it...the only reason this place gets 2 stars is for the italian ices, for being around so long, and then people are nice. I have taken pizza back home AND I have sat for dinner at this establishment - both times I got very sick from the pizza - maybe it sat out too long?

Go across the street in the Waldbaum's parking lot to Joes pizza - the place doesn't look fantastic but the pizza is AMAZING!

You're Still The One. Gino's is one of the best resturants I have ever eatten at, and I have been everywhere. The food is fabulous and the portions are generous. With an Entree' you get salad and pasta. No free refills though. I have been eatting there for 34 years and never has any wait staff ever given me or my family a complimetary glass of wine or some small gesture that keeps people coming back. I guess the owner dosent feel it necessary because he has them ling up outside. But I think a small gesture like that goes a long way, especially in this economy. Most other eatery's practice this, and it really makes a difference. I think they should also get new items on their menu like potatoes as a side dish and add some great salads with different dressings.I think they just put the resturant next door out of business. They had a great inviting store front but the food was bad. So all in all, Gino's is still up there on my list.

Pros: Delious Food

Cons: Parking, crowded

NOT THE SAME. Where or where do I begin? Ginos are you listening? You USED to be my favorite pizza place in LB, really no one could beat you, hands down you, not only had the best pizza but the tastiest food even outside of LB. Now I dont want to take customers away from you,no one wants to see a business fail. Yes Ginos has been around for 49 years but this is really no longer Ginos. Freddy the cook is gone, and he took with him the great recipes and flavors that were so special about Ginos. This new menu with 'pick two", really is not good. They changes the menu, took wonderful favorites out and simplified things, which is ok, except nothing tastes good anymore. I know Ginos needed a change. Things may have been getting same-ole, same-ole but you should have did some research first. See what sells the most and keep it. You took away everything that was wonderful about Ginos and that made Ginos Ginos. The ONLY thing the same now is the name.

I wish you the best.

Best Sicilian pizza in NY. Now Gino's is a Long Beach institution, I have been coming here since I was a little kid in the 1980s, and they have the best Sicilian anywhere. The crust is perfect, the thickness of the cheese, perfect, the way they make it slightly well-done, perfect. The regular pie is good also but Sicilian is clearly a better choice. I also enjoy the stuffed meat, if you like pepperoni, sausage, and ham you would like the stuffed meat but sometimes they don't cook it enough so ask for it well-done. The other items on the menu I can not speak authoritatively about but I do recall a decent chicken parm hero.

Rude and Overpriced. We have been ordering pizza from various establishments in Long Island for 34 years, but never have I been so angry! We both worked yesterday and had a social engagement after work, so having very little time for dinner and my husband being in the area, we ordered a pie WITH EXTRA CHEESE from Gino's. My husband arrived less than 10 minutes later and was amazed that the pie was ready. It was over $21! The extra cheese was $6.00! All the other places charge $2.00. Anyway, having brought it home (a short ride), the pizza was ice cold and the cheese could be found only with a magnifying glass. Since it was ready way too soon, we assumed we had been given the wrong pie, but we had to leave right away and sisn't get home til midnight. First thing this morning, I called Gino's and reported the problem, at which time I was accused of lying and told I should have brought it back last night. A good business practice would have been to apologize (it was THEIR mistake) and offer me a replacement or a refund. I was very insulted and am not about to recommend their $21 pizza to anyone in their right mind. GG

Best Pizza in Nassau County South Shore. This is certainly in the top 5 of pizzarias in Long Island. Gigante's and Mario's are also in the top 5, but Gino's has a delicious sauce and crust that makes this pizza on par with any in the region, inlcuding NYC. The sausage, vegetable slice, and other pies are outstanding. Many people rave about the grandma slice, but I haven't tried that yet. Don't go out of your way for this, but if you are in Long Beach, this is the place for pizza.

Also, make sure you save room for a rainbow italian ice after your slice.

The restaurant portion has decent pasta fagioli, stuffed shells, and other specialties. Most of the food is pre-made wholesaler kind of dishes and has a bland kind of taste.

The best pizza!. This is my favorite place to eat pizza in Long Beach. My only complaint is that they don't deliver the fresh, hot, delicious pizza to your apartment! I could eat my weight in pizza at Ginos.
