This Simi Valley landmark is where visitors can learn about our 40th president and dine under Air Force One.

In Short
High on a mountaintop with panoramic views of the valleys and the Pacific Ocean, this 100-acre cultural center has offered an educational and inspirational experience for more than one million visitors since opening in 1991. Just a 45-minute drive from Downtown L.A. (without traffic, that is), the museum holds countless documents, photographs and artifacts that follow our 40th president from his early days as a Hollywood actor to his eight years in the White House. The library and museum is also home to a world-class research facility featuring original presidential documents as well as a restaurant that is the only place in the world where folks can dine beneath Air Force One.
Great history lesson!

Bring the family and come learn about a period in history like none other. The museum covers everything from the decades earlier presidents like LBJ and Nixon, then it leads right up to ex-President Regans two terms in office. Don't miss the film exhibit as it covers a lot and the sound is great, reminescent of the Lincoln exhibit at Disneyland. My favorite was the memorbilia of the time featuring alarm clocks, microwaves, and computers all developed during that era.
