User Reviews for Mount Rose

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

11/12/2002 Posted by haggarse

Mount Rose has only one flaw, and that flaw affects all the resorts at Lake Tahoe: wind. The snow and skiing/snowboarding is phenomenal, I tend to prefer the east bowl however, less people, better powder, and advanced runs. You can get a season's pass to Mt. Rose for $200--not kidding. Rose is truly a fun place to go and ski for cheap--without sacrificing any of the amenities.

Pros: Good Parking, Inexpensive, Fun people

Cons: Windy

Editor's Review

A down-tempo resort that boasts high altitude, dry snow and a city next door full of apres-ski opportunities.  See the full editorial review.
