Fallen to Disrepair

by rainbowgirl at Citysearch

The Motel grounds used to be nice, but it's very obvious nobody has done any upkeep for a very long time. The pool was cold, the grass was sparse, and there were cigarette butts everywhere. There was a construction company staying there, they were loud yelling across the courtyard at each other, drinking beer from the 2nd level and letting their beer bottles and cans drop down below to us. We have an 18 month old who was wandering about and thankfully she didn't get bonked on the head. When the management was asked to do something they didn't. We asked for a discount, NO Luck. So we left the next morning for another 2 nights at a different hotel. After they charged us $20 extra than the price quoted and resevered for! Would have liked to have it dealt with but they were uninterested.

  • Pros: Nice setting with central courtyard, but not maintained.
  • Cons: Service

In Short
Since the Ramada brand made its debut in 1954 in Flagstaff, Ariz., the hotel franchise has been offering dependable accommodations with budget-wise perks. Families appreciate the kids-stay-free policy for children 17 and under staying with their parents. Other amenities usually include a swimming pool, full-service restaurant, lounge, in-room data ports and voice mail. Group rates--for wedding parties, corporate groups or family reunions--are available for parties requiring 10 or more rooms per night.
