I miss it so much! by Elizabeth R. at InsiderPages

Man, Prex is the greatest. The selection is vast, interesting, and surprising, and the salespeople actually know what they're talking about (unlike some other pretentious record stores). They have an incredible variety of music, as well as a random selection of VHS, DVDs and video games--sort of a mixture of curiosities and overstock. The best.
High fidelity and low prices at a Jersey institution.

In Short
The Record Exchange's selection is massive in breadth and depth--jazz, soul, classical and rock are all well-represented here. Full-price CDs are in the front, and those who have adventurous tastes or low budgets (or both!) will drool over the selection in the store's budget racks, where big things of years past and next big things of tomorrow are priced to move. Bonus: If you're looking to trade in your old records for some newer models, the Record Exchange will give you cash or credit for old LPs, CDs and tapes.

The used section is second to none. Many titles are to be found on both CD and vinyl at very good prices. The new CD section has a little to be desired. Many titles are not in order and I found myself resorting to asking the staff for assistance on finding titles. The staff is not the most friendly unless you are a complete rock geek. Novices beware.
