Nice selection of seasoned wood at a reasonable price. They deliverd and dumped th wood. Service was OK and I found them to be a bit pricey. They offer both Oak and Cherry and othe rhardwoods, while supplies last.

It's Even True With Firewood -

You get what you pay for.

Holmdel Firewood has consistently clean firewood, properly sized and properly dried. It's the best place I've found in New Jersey to get firewood (and I've gotten it from all over the state).

Other firewood vendors are outlets for tree service companies, selling insect- or disease-infested firewood that is usually green and always contains pieces that will not fit into the fireplace without major modicifcation.

Although Holmdel Firewood might seem expensive, their top-quality firewood has been cut to uniform size. It stacks easily, fits into the fireplace, is not diseased or contains insects, and is never green.

After moving to Jersey from Illinois where there were great firewood vendors where one could select from walnut, cherry, oak, etc., I had a heck of a time finding decent firewood here. After suffering for too many years with junk firewood, I finally stumbled across Holmdel Firewood and have been a steady customer ever since. They're great in all respects from service to quality products.

• Cons: Price is higher than other firewood dealers, but you get what you pay for.
