Rudest service in Asheville
by mountainhikergirl at Citysearch
I've stayed at a lot of Hampton Inn's and can honestly say this location is probably THE worst in customer service. The front desk employees were very short, curt and rude to the customers - not only myself but as a witness to another customer's experience. While checking in, a lady had came in with a reservation which they could not find. Understandably the customer was a bit upset and said she had a reservation number which she was told "we're full I can't give you something I don't have, you should have called us directly to confirm. We would have told you that you didn't have a room." Unbelievable!
Upon check in our "free hi speed internet service" was not working, when we called the front desk asking if they were having problems I was told "there's a guy on the net down here, it must be your computer.' No other offer for help or anything.
I will say the housekeepers were extremely nice and friendly. It seems it was only the front desk employees (four that I remember) that were lazy, rude and could use a training course in courtesy and hospitality. I will not be returning to this location. Ever.
- Pros: Nice rooms, comfy beds, pleasant housekeepers
- Cons: The front desk staff = very rude.
