be afraid, be very afraid. I stayed here July 2006 and it was dreadful. You get what you pay for. Completely rundown, with peeling paint, musty smells, exposed wires, cracks in the door.... For emergency, yes...it's cheap. It did have a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and hairdryer and even has a pool (I dare you to swim in it). There was continental breakfast too, but the butter is exposed and overall, the place just isn't very clean. Not impressed with the location either as downtown Asheville, I thought, had little to offer. Too scary at night to walk around amongst the gothic folks and homeless vagrants!…
