Brings back memories

As some people have said, I went to high school at South Rowan, and China Grove Middle School.
It is a place that always brings back happy memories. The food of course is what draws me the most, but it's just a good down home place to go and eat.
If you go back through that area, I highly encourage you to stop by and try it. You will be happy when finished.
- Pros: Awesome pork BBQ, My Favorite? Their fish sandwich's
- Cons: They are not in Colorado

We love Gary's BBQ! The service is really fast and the atmosphere is great! There's so much to look at! Their banana pudding is out of this world and we always enjoy going there!

The food is fantastic and served quick! The cheeseburgers and fries are excellent. If you are in a hurry and want good food then go here if you live in the area. Great service too!
Gary's also does catering, a little bit of everything, delicious and affordable.

Gary just finished catering a wedding rehearsal dinner for us in Kannapolis, NC about 8 miles south of China Grove. The meal was barbecued pork, barbecued chicken, barbeque (red) slaw, baked beans, buns, banana pudding and sweetened iced tea with all the condiments, utensils, plates, everything included. He does a turnkey job, uses his own tables and workers to serve the meal. We had about 70 people in the wedding party. The cost was very, very reasonable and everyone had a great meal. If you went away hungry, it was your own fault. Gary served up large portions to begin with, but there was no problem with seconds, thirds, or you name it. He even gave us a couple of plates to take home. I am not sure how far from China Grove he will cater, but recommend him highly for any event where you want a good down home meal. We will definitely use him again in the future.
- Pros: Best BBQ around, great variety and service, great prices, what more could you want!

best barbecue sandwich ever..pepper vinegar and everything you need has been thought of. locals are flooding to it..servers are fast and enthusiastic.. they know they work at a special place..interior decor is old time Coke signs..and old Thunderbird cars in a museum..spacious..great rest rooms..makes you want to open your own place when you go home..this is the eatery that international visitors would say is so American!!..i am going back every chance I get!!..barbecue chicken next..prices are right!!

They have wonderful food and the prices are great. The food that you buy is great for the money theat you have to pay. The tea is wonderful and the chicken tender places are the best to me. They are always friendly and nice to you. They have great customer service and the whole place is good. They always ask if everything is going okand if you need anything.everybody should try gary's out and you will always go back.
Possibly best in the world?!?!

I am from Pennsylvania & we do not have barbecue places up here, my wife's family lives in the Charlotte/Salibury area in NC & she first took me to Gary's about 4 years ago while visiting. MAN, THIS STUFF ROCKS!!!! I have tried others in the area & down south in general, but Gary's is the absolute best! The servers are friendly, quick & efficient, but most of all the food is FABULOUS!!! My wife brings it home for me in a cooler when I cannot go down there with her, & it lasts about 1 day here!! Thanks Gary's, & keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I a grew up in China Grove, NC as well and I love Gary's! It has an awesome atmosphere and awesome food! Highly reccomended!!!! A++++ I am craving it now!

A+ atmosphere food and service. If you liked happy days, then you will like this place. Take the kids to see the old cars and have great food fast. Varity is the menu and the BBQ's good too.

I grew up in China Grove and moved to Charlotte about an hour away and I've yet to find a real hometown BBQ like Gary's. When I come home thats where I always stop to eat I've brought friends from charlotte into Gary's to eat and they've loved it. there's nothing better a BBQ salad w/ Ranch dressing :)
