First Class Medical Care! Quick Response to Questions at all hours! Friendly!

I am a patient of Jennifer Hichme, M.D. I drive a long distance to see the physicians at Silver Pines Family Physicians simply because I receive First Class treatment! I highly recommend them!

• Pros: Quick and prompt service! Physicians willing to do their best to help patients!
• Cons: it is rare to find this quality of medical care in Southeastern Michigan!

Dr. Guevarra is Awesome

I have been seeing Dr. Guevarra for about a year & I am thrilled to have him as my doctor. He is very caring & takes time out to fully consult me at every visit. I have no insurnace so he always gives me as many options as possible & helps save me medical costs. Very recommended.

Dr. Hichme is really wonderful

Dr. Hichme has been my physcian for 5yrs, and each year I go in for yearly visit. She is very kind and easy to talk to. I don't have any complaints with my trip to the office. People are friendly and are very helpful. Silverpines is really a great place to have all your medical stuff done at.

Love my DOCS!

I've been seeing doctor Prameela Patel for approximately 2-1/2 years. I found her after wanting to change hospitals and doctors, but it was very important for me to have a "One on One" female doctor. I've already been through so much, I really needed someone to LISTEN to me, not just check me i and shoo me out out just as an office visit! I have never been more comfortable and trustworthy of any doctor in my life! I needed to be referred to several other specialists due to my many complications, and Doctor Prameela Patel has never steered me wrong! As a matter of fact, I've already referred her to my friends. My husband sees Doc Kostnois and loves him! The staff is super nice. The wait may be 20 mins, but its worth it!!!

• Pros: get in rather quickly
• Cons: waiting for meds to be refilled may take up to 48 hours

Very personable, highly skilled

It's hard to find a skilled doctor with a good bedside manner - but they're all at Silver Pines Family Physicians. I've personally used both Dr. Parag Patel for my daughter and Dr. Prameela Patel and sometimes Hitchme for myself. My husband sees Dr. Kotsonis and has seen Dr. Guerava as well. Yes, it's tough to get an appointment, but it's worth it. They really work with you, listen to you and acknowledge when they need to do some more research - but they have always gotten back to me timely and with good, useful information. The nurses and support staff are also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this group of doctors!

Great Doctor, Wait Time Excellent, Overall Great Visits

I just begun to see Dr. Kotsonis this past summer. I did not experience any long wait time to make an appointment. In fact, I called and was able to be seen the next day. Staff was friendly. My family enjoys our visits to see Dr. Kotsonis. We are always able to get an appointment when we need one.

I don't know why it is so difficult for these Dr. offices to manage call volume and make appointments. I just sat on the phone for 15 - 20 Minutes, only to hear the phone ring again and cycle me back to the beginning of the call cycle to "Press 0" to make an appointment. I am at work and just chewed up any free time I have today, so I guess I will have to risk that this lump I have is not cancer.....

• Pros: Nice Doctors, Clean Facilities
• Cons: Need to take a vacation day to MAKE the appointment, let alone go to it.

Good doctors, degraded service, extremely long wait times

We have had Silver Pine Physicians as our primary care physicians for the past 5 years. The doctors are pretty good. Having said that the services offered by the office staff has degraded significantly. The average wait time on the phone to get an appointment is atleast 20 mins. I had some stat lab work for a fever that has lasted a week and it has taken Dr. Guevara (and his medical assistant) more than 72 hours to respond with suggestions based on the lab work. Our average wait time to see a doctor, in the past year has been atleast 45 mins., since all of the doctors are double booked. We love Dr. Hichme, but unfortunately she has decided to work part time, so we are left choosing for the lesser of all the "evils". I understand times are difficult for all of us, but SIlver Pine better pull their socks up, after all they are in the service industry. All in all, good doctors but the office service leaves tonnes to be desired.

• Cons: Wait times, Availability of appointments with Dr. Hichme, Prompt responses

My husband, son (baby), and myself all see Dr. Habicht. He is great. We always get in to see him, don't have to wait long, and gives good advice. I trust him with the health of my family.

pick a new doctor

I was a patient of Dr. Kotsonis. I was missed diagnosed twice. He told me I had DVT and found out that was not true. He told me to take it easy and stay off my feet. Because of that my back got weak. The problem with my legs my tendons were tightening and needed to be stretched. Not DVT. Had to go thru physical therapy to get my back stronger. The next thing was when I came in that I had pain under my rib and back which was different from above. He sent me for a cat scan. I called because the pain was worst, and he could not take the time to get back to me. I called the next day, still no contact from him. I went to the Beaumont hospital waited 3 hours and had my husband take me to the office. The office personnel said she will have to call in the back to see if he can see me because I did not have an appointment. I said screw this and went home took 3 Tylenol pm. Went to a new Doctor and found out I had a broken rib and colon and muscle in spasm. Dr. Kotsonis never return any of my calls.
