I mean really, just to see the chef cook right in front of you and watch him flip shrimp tails into his hat and pockets makes it worth it right there.

  • Pros: Great fresh sushi, Fun, Great ambience

My kids, my mother, my entire family LOVES Shogun's. This is a cool place to take the kids, although the younger ones may not like the food. Food is amazing, excellent dishes, entertaining, awesome lunch rates! Fun for the whole family, sitting at the hibachi grill, the guy flips the shrimp tails into his hat, pocket, etc... the kids love it! Amazing sauces, food cooked to your liking. I would recommend Shogun's to anyone!

Shogun steak house is my favorite place to go. I always sit in the back where they cook in front of you. Some people may think it's pricey but you get a lot of food. You start off with a broth like soup. Then, you get rice, white or fried. Finally they make your main meal. You can choose from steak, chicken, shrimp, or sushi. I've never had their sushi or shrimp but their steak and chicken is to die for. With your meat, you also get bean sprouts, mushrooms, and zuchini, I can't spell it! I thought it would be disgusting but i love it and is one of my favorite parts of the delicious meal. Shogun is definetely a great place to go for a nice dinner out!

  • Pros: It's not too loud like other resturants.
  • Cons: There aren't a lot of seats and you don't get your own table.

Loves it. A little pricey but very very good. They have a section that's similiar to Benihanas (sp) and there's the sushi bar up front (plenty of seating) so you can go for just sushi or the whole sit down meal feel.

Hibachi style cooking and a sushi bar make this spot Sterling Heights's own personal portal to Japan.

DO NOT EAT HERE!! I ate at Shogun on Aug. 13, 2006 and received the single worst service that I have ever received. We only ordered sushi so we did not sit at the hibachi grill. We waited 20 minutes for a waitress to come around and take our order. Eventually I got impatient and gave my order directly to the sushi chef. After another half an hour, half of our sushi arrived. We consumed it and waited another 20 minutes for the rest to arrive cold. Poor service all around left us no choice but to leave a 10% tip. Halfway home we realized that we never got our credit card back so we turned around. The waitress claimed that she returned the credit card, which we know simply just isn't true. When we asked her to take a closer look around she glanced over the counter and said "Nope not there." I have never been treated so poorly in all my life. DO NOT EAT HERE!!

  • Pros: Not a single one.
  • Cons: See Review.

I love Japanese steakhouses where you can watch the chef cook your meal @ your table. I've eaten at many in the US, Canada & Mexico and usually you get a great show! This chain doesn't do much more than the usual shrimp tails & onion volcano (no pizzaz)...but the food is awesome! The filet w/fried rice is my favorite! *****My toddler loves this place (to her, just watching someone cook her food is entertainment enough) and we order her the tempura veggie plate w/white rice. She has a couple bites of my steak and has had a great dinner out for $4!*****

  • Pros: Food is great - the steaks are steakhouse quality
  • Cons: lack of pizzaz during meal prep, there is no energy and everyone at the table just sits there
