This deli has been around for a long time and it is still worth it. Good old fat deli sandwiches and noodle soup with lots of noodles, just the things you go there for

In Short
The Bread Basket serves an array of kosher-style deli food, from lox to latkes, gefilte fish, cheese blintzes, borscht and chopped liver. The Forman's Follies is named after owner, a four-decker of corned beef, turkey and Swiss. Chicken and turkey are the real sliced article, not processed, and the Bread Basket also serves breakfast (omelets, French toast, corned beef hash and eggs, and lox platters) any time.

This is some of the BEST sandwich making ever! The Reuben with 1/2 turkey is to die for...literally as your heart clogs, but man is it worth it. And the garlic sauce is stinkingly superb. When ever we fly in from British Columbia we always make a date to enjoy the extreme sandwiches at The Bread Basket. The great thing is that it is not about the atmosphere, but rather, it is strictly about the food. It is yummy and filling and worth the trip everytime.

  • Pros: Great, filling, real food!
  • Cons: You can't eat it every day

From my first teething bagel in the early 60's to my adulthood favorite the 20 & 1/2, The Bread Basket Deli on Greenfield at 10 & 1/2 mile is the best deli this side of New York!!! You can absolutely bring a friend, share a sandwich and both leave full. Oh and the matza ball soup, the pickles (old & new) and don't get me started on the blintzes, Oh the blintzes are to die for I tell you. Go, go now, you look hungry.

  • Pros: Everything they have to eat!
  • Cons: Sometimes a little wait in line.

I had a united meat on onion roll. The onione roll bread was dried out and crumbly. The pastrami was full of fat that was like rubber bands could not eat it. The corn beef was dried out. I will go to the bread basket basket deli in for now on because I never had a sandwich like that there. There sandwiches are the best.

The Bread Basket Deli sandwiches cater to those with a large appetite. The united meat sandwich is a combination of corned beef and pastrami given in large quanity delicious and juicy sandwich. The corned beef is stacked higher than high on thick sliced jewish rye bread to satisfy and hunger, enjoyable.

Forget all they hype about the terribly pretentious and overpriced Zingerman's in Ann Arbor. The Bread Basket Deli is one of the finest in the land.

The sandwiches are generous and well put- together and the prices are not out of line. Its a small and cramped space, but carry-out solves that drawback.

Since the even better Stage Deli closed some years ago, The Bread Basket is thye place to be.

  • Pros: Food quality, Food quantity, Service
  • Cons: , Noisy

If you don't mind standing in line for a few minutes, it is worth the wait. Supersize Sandwiches are fun to handle.

Ronnie!! Get down to Tampa-St. Pete area of FLa. and open up a deli! They know not what they miss!! Oh how I yearn for thee (make no mistake, I Do mean your corned beef, pastrami, salami, tuna salad, double baked bread, any of your soups, latke....) Those low Spirit Air fares now have more meaning. Coming back in October but as I write this maybe sooner. Standing on line is worth it just for the aromas from the kitchen for those few minutes.

  • Pros: Food, Food, Food
  • Cons: 1125 miles away
