Best pizza anywhere, without a doubt

Without a doubt, the absolute best pizza anywhere if you like thick pizza. They have several kinds: Chicago stuffed, Gourmet, traditional hand tossed, and Sicilian. The gourmet is the BEST. It is about 2 inches thick and every single ingredient is made fresh by the owner, who is there cooking every single time I have been there.

You will pay about $15 for a small gourmet with 3 or 4 toppings, but three of the six pieces will be more than enough for the heartiest eater. The toppings are not your typical, they have: Potato, roasted cloves of garlic, sun-dried tomato, broccoli, feta, chicken, sausage, pepperoni, pineapple, pesto and MANY others.

This is a hole in the wall place that you won't find unless you know where to go. It is where the "locals in the know" get their pizza. I have traveled the world and have not found a better thick pizza than the gourmet at Anthony's Gourmet Pizza.

Warning: This is not a chain. Your addiction will not be satisfied if you leave the Ann Arbor area, as I have recently done. Maybe I can get Ted to FedEx me a pie? Tell him Dan sent you. Get the Feta and Roasted Garlic pizza on a gourmet, you'll love it. I have eaten Anthony's for over 15 years and have never had a bad pizza.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

• Pros: The best pizza ever. Period.
• Cons: Two tiny tables to eat in - This is a carry-out/delivery place.
