Cozy Stay for a Ski Weekend

by gripdxd

This is a comfortable New England Inn, that offered a great ski package. Our room had a fireplace and that was a big highlight. It also has all the amenties you need, gym, hot tub, heated pool, ski shuttle, bar, restaurant, internet etc. Staff is friendly and our package included breakfast. The breakfast has everything!, they weren't missing a thing. We would definitely return.

  • Pros: Fireplace in the room, amenties & service.
  • Cons: Dinner at the restaurant could be better,

One of the most reasonably priced golf getaways in the country.

The Scene
Given that guests enjoy unlimited play on an 18-hole championship course during their stay, including on the days of their arrival and departure, it's no wonder this place is popular with the tee set. The course is particularly gorgeous in the fall, when the leaves are changing color. Numerous golf events, activities and special packages offered throughout the season add to the allure.

The Details
This resort isn't all about fairways, though. Its 200 acres house tennis courts, a heated outdoor pool, walking trails and The Lake House, for swimming, sailing and canoeing. Accommodations are in four colonial buildings surrounding the turn-of-the-19th-century Main Inn and in one- to three-bedroom townhouses with fireplaces, sundecks and full kitchens. Decor is countrified all the way around. The Main Dining Room specializes in traditional New England cuisine, while the Millbrook Tavern and Grille serves casual fare.
