The margaritas are wonderful too, but come early if you and your friends want to get a seat in the dining room. Tables go quickly each week at taco night.

My friends go here every Thursday and love it. So this past Thurs I went along. I had the best margarita I've ever had(and I've tried quite a few margs in my day!). There was a free taco buffet from 10 on! The tacos were great! I'm hooked. Will def be there every Thurs night!! going back today to sit on patio and then have free tacos!!

Don't believe these other reviews! My friend and I were there the other night and we had a wonderful experience! The margaritas and all the drinks we had were awsome! The food was much tastier, freasher and better then the compition. My friend and I are both in the biz so we expect good service and we got GREAT service. From the Hostess to the bartenders to our waitress, everyone was upbeat and friendly. Check out the patio! We had a blast and def would recomend!

I used to come to this place for their margs, but I won't be coming back. I've gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe I had just gone there on an off night a couple months ago, but went for lunch recently and this place doesn't have anything going for it anymore. The food and service are decidedly second rate, why come here when there are significantly better mex/tex-mex/bbq joints within a chip shot.
- Pros: decent margs, outdoor dining, proximity to better restaurants
- Cons: food and service are pretty lousy

I felt compelled to write a review to combat all of the other glowing ones: really, folks, this place is bad. Fairly tasteless food, utterly tasteless decor, and the margarita that I had was one of the weakest drinks I've had out in years. The service was alright, and there was nothing horrific about the food, but that's the best that I can say about the place. It was the worst meal I've ever had on Moody St.

A group of my friends and I went to this fun spot last week and had a blast! The bartenders were super friendly and very attentive and the drinks were amazing(try the award winning Horny Lizard Marg!!). My friends and I love Mexican food and the menu was very diverse. The waitress told us that the menu was "vacation cuisine", meaning food with influences from the Carribean, South America and Mexico. We loved the Fajitas and Quesidillas. Carribean Chicken sandwich was awsome! On Tuesdays they have 2 for 1 fajitas! We are definately going back!! We also can't wait to spring so we can relax in the sun on their patio! This is my first review, hope it's helpful!!

I moved to Waltham from Southern Calfornia and chose Waltham because of the multi-cultural richness that the city provided. While exploring the town, I saw the Iguana Cantin which tauted serving Mexican food. Being Mexican myself, I was overjoyed because if we go too long without good Mexican food we get surly and cantankerous. I looked at the Iguana Cantina menu and what sadly disappointing catastrophe was right there for all to see? WRAPS! Which is exactly what I yelled incredulously at their door. Followed by No self respecting Mexican would eat, serve, much less have on a menu something so clearly NOT Mexican! Turn in your membership cards, IMPOSTORS!!!
After about nine months, I was convinced, though through resistance, to have a meal there. What was I treated to, you wonder? Fruffy, sickeningly sweet cocktails parading around as margaritas and some of the worst food I've ever had the misfortune of being served. The people were really nice though.

we passed tons of authentic places on the way to iguana cantina...we should have stopped there instead. the food has no flavor, and the queso fundido tastes like cheese whiz.

This place has great Mexican food and margaritas. The decor is truly fitting for the Mexican theme. They even have a talking iquana that meets you at the door.

Can;t beat this place, espically in the summertime where you can sip on their tasty margaritas outside on their awesome patio!
