Great Sandwiches - expensive catered trays

Let me first say that Bob's has a fantastic reputation. People come from miles around to get their subs and I agree that they are fantastic!

However, I was disapointed with their catering. We ordered catered trays from Bobs for a family party. The food was very tasty and the decorative trays made for a nice presentation. However, the calzone tray was cold (not what were expecting.) They didn't include grated cheese for the pasta - this was probably an oversight. The chicken & ziti was hot and flavorful but didn't wow me. Overall, I thought we overpaid for what we received.

I will call them again for subs and deli platters but I won't call them for catering trays.

Bobs is Overrated

If you want a real Italian place-go to the north end in Boston. The deli help is all from south america and more than half of them don't properly understand English. The store is poorly air conditioned and quite honestly I think the owners write there own reviews.

Like i said BOBS IS OVERREATED

• Pros: The food is the same as every other place around
• Cons: There is no parking and the store looks (is) dirty

Best Italian food North of Boston!

This place has the best pasta take-out, subs and deli. Plus the bbq fresh meats and homemade sausages are to die for, like heaven! The ziti, chicken & broccoli for catering is my families favorite. All reasonably priced and top quality delicious Italian gem!

I love the subs and the smells, nice place a little crowded but that is what good food brings. I enjoy the specials and try the cold cuts.

Amazing giant subs

I knew I made a good decision going here when I saw the line at the deli counter. I called the day before to order the 6 foot sub. I ordered too late in the day, but the person on the phone helped me out and suggested two supreme subs. I got an Italian and a chicken parm. I had to carry them like a baby when I was on my way out. They did offer to help me carry them to my car. I took them to a party on Sunday to watch the Pats and the Sox games. Everyone loved them. I would go back to try the catering.

• Pros: Six foot subs!
• Cons: Parking could me tough.
