pretty place, it was very homey and comforting. the ambience made us feel like we were in a tibetan kitchen. the food was great and the waitress was attentive without being overbearing. and it was also inexpensive! would go here again, love this place. great for a little romantic evening in those blustery boston nights.
- Pros: inexpensive, ambience, service
- Cons: parking
A genuine taste of Tibet in Teele Square.

In Short
Talk about an authentic vibe: Pictures of Tibet paper the small interior, Tibetan rugs serve as banquette runners, and the menu seems more a history book than a list of courses. For the uninitiated, Tibetan cuisine is mostly cold-climate food: lots of root vegetables, grains (wheat and barley) and potatoes. Popular menu items include shammo (steamed dumplings filled with mildly spicy ground beef) and shogo khotsa (curried potatoes).

I had never tried Tibetan food before, but my friend had spent a few months there. We both ordered the waitresses recommendations (one was a pumpkin dish) and loved the food. It's not like Indian or Chinese food, it has a unique flavor. You should try it! The butter tea was icky, but my friend says it always is. The hot lime drink is nice.
- Pros: Interesting food, Great flavors, Friendly staff
- Cons: Brightly lit

This is a wonderful little place off of the Davis square stop on the red line. The place is really small and once you enter the lighting, decoration and music fit what you would expect.
The food was very good and inexpensive. We had 2 dishes and appetizer and extra soup and only cost low 20's.
Coming from that part of the world I can vouch for the authenticity of the food (and that it is well made). Definetly have the soups and the spinach dishes.
- Pros: Inexpnsive, Good food, Good atmosphere

Great soup that comes with many of the meals, try the cha nagamo (chai, as americans would call it). Very cozy and warm atmosphere, perfect for an evening with a chill in the air. Filling without over doing it. Have a beer at PJ Ryan's net door while you wait for a table.
- Pros: quick service, excellent food, quiet, small, cozy
- Cons: closed on monday, not open late enough
