Gentle Giant was not cheapest, but I believed other personal and online reviews that they are the real deal and will not scam you. We did a fixed-price move and are very happy with it. Bad experience - feel scammed. After 2 really great moves with Gentle Giant this past one this month was really disappointing! The move took double the estimated time. It took them almost 12 hours to move the contents of a 2 bedroom apartment 5 blocks. Even though we rented a crane for the second half of the move it took them just as long moving in as it did getting the stuff out of are old apt. When I contacted the company after the move there was no accommodation made. In fact, though I sent them the price for an expensive bottle of wine broken in the move they only reimbursed $90 of the $169 it cost. Despite good experiences in the past, I would never use them again. For the price they charge you expect the best - fast and efficient - we way overpaid for what we got.…
