When Mrs Foodsnob and I walked in here the other night, I was amazed and surprised to see my old neighborhood friend and Breakfast Guru, Alex Pappas hosting. Seems his son calls the shots at this new spot just a few doors from where Alex held court serving breakfast to this neighborhood.....Zorba's....for years. Although new and a tad rough around the edges, we found this spot very good, afordable and very comfortable. I almost kept it a secret, but.... you need to know, because this little hidden spot will be a treasure by summer. Mrs FS had the pasta with panchetta and sun dried tomatoes while I enjoyed the penne with white vodka sauce. both where creamy and rich and enough to bring home for a saturday afternoon snack. We both had the soup..... it could use a tad more imagination, but as time goes on, this food family will get better and better. As we are suckers for bread pudding, the blueberry bread pudding was dense, loaded with fruit and topped with a light creamy sauce.............. not too thick and just right sweet. The service was very attentive, educated and friendly. Perfect. I look forward to sitting on the patio and making this a five star by June...... so keep up the good work! Try this spot just a little before five, before the crowd rushes in........
Pros: comfortable, quiet, new
Cons: ........nothing, yet
