Great atmosphere. The food and service were awesome. We can't wait for the martini bar to open.

by stevec888 at Citysearch

This place is worth the trip. We all enjoyed our meals, and the service was fantastic. The owner Nick came over to our table a couple of times to ask how everything was. You could tell he was genuinely concerned with our dining experience. Our waitress, Alesha, was a doll. She was very responsive to all our requests. As far as the food goes, it's worth the trip. If you like veal, try the "Veal Papa", it was great. We would definitely go back. As a matter of fact, they'll see us in 3 weeks for the opening of their Martini Bar. Great job guys!

BTW Nick, the young Russian/Polish hostess was awesome. She's the one that suggested the "Veal Papa". Evidently, it is her father's favorite.

Thanks Steven

  • Pros: It's a nice family restaurant. The food and service is great.
  • Cons: The Martini Bar wasn't open yet - lol...

DON'T GO HERE!!! Terrible establishment

by Jeff K at Citysearch

DON'T GO HERE!!!!!

What an awful experience my family had ordering take-out from this restaurant. We ordered two pizzas and an appetizer. When I went to pick up the order they thought I only had ordered one pizza. Fine, mistakes happen. They then refused to make me another pizza because "it was Friday night, and they were too busy." However, I didn't want one pizza, I had ordered two pizzas!! I needed two pizzas to feed my family.

After begging to get a pizza made they said it would take 30 minutes to get my pizza because there were many other orders ahead of mine. You would think that if they had made a mistake they would have tried to rectify the situation and put the pizza I ordered almost 30 minutes before in right away, while my other pizza sat waiting.

The pizza I got wasn't even that good after the ordeal I went through. For the price we paid, you think it would have been a better pizza. Next time I'll go to Bertucci's, because even they were better.

My wife called to speak to the manager to share the lack of customer service I received at their establishment. She was put on hold for a few minutes before a young girl, the "manager" came on the line. It ended up not being the manager and then she was put on hold again. Finally, the real manager, or owner's wife, came on the line. Instead of apologizing for the experience we had, she kept saying, "but it was Friday night, but it was Friday night." There is no excuse for receiving poor customer service. I understand that it was a busy time, but she could have asked to speak to my wife the next day. No, instead she hangs up on my wife. I'm astonished what poor customer service this establishment has.

I was previously in the pizza business for 6 years, and that is no way to run a business. It doesn't matter what night it is, you should always try to accomodate all customers and listen to concerns to improve your business.

I would definitely recommend never going to Teresa's!!!

  • Pros: Nothing, awful experience at this restaurant
  • Cons: Customer service, poor ownership, food

NOT a family restaurant

by marie3927 at Citysearch

Teresa's boasts itself as a family restaurant, but my family found it just the opposite. As a celebration for my grandmother's 87th birthday, we decided to try Teresa's on a Friday afternoon at 430. When we arrived and told them we had a party of 11, they told us that they could not accommodate us. Mind you, they currently had two couples occupying two tables in their "spacious dining room that accommodates up to 95" (as stated on their website). After questioning their statement and pointing out the vast room left in the restaurant, the hostess finally called her manager who said the best they could do was put 8 of us at one table and 3 at another (we shouldn't have had to beg for a table). When we asked if they could push some tables together against the wall, she stated that they need to keep them open because they had reservations later (my Uncle saw on the sheet that the three reservations they had for that night weren't until 730, 2 hours after we would have been gone). Needless to say, we left immediately and had a wonderful meal at a restaurant down the street. I later learned on the website that they "require" reservations for 6 or more... Really? They want to turn away business when they are essentially empty? Poor policy and poor excuse. In 87 years, my grandparents have never been turned down at a restaurant, and they certainly never will for the rest of their lives, as none of us will waste our time at Teresa's again, an unprofessional and offensive business.

portions not very large

by skyebear at Citysearch

three of us went Saturday night I ordered Chicken Picatta - no capers - I don't think I got the right meal - wasn't lemony at all and had artichokes in it. My husband was still hungry after we ate - which never happens in Italian restaurants with him - I felt because the portions weren't as large as other places and the price isn't cheap a salad should definately be offered as part of your dinner - all three of us felt that way.

Food is very good and prices reasonable. If you live on the north shore, this is a must try! You will not be dissapointed and neither will your date.

The Place Stinks

by mike1234567 at Citysearch

SOO....i used to work there/eat there...i sum it up below

The whole organization stinks of a corrupt family business. They have a LOUSY bartender who is the daughter of the owner, the food is probably B- at best, and the majority of the people there can?t smile. They just can?t?the place is horrible. This past Saturday (June 28) was my birthday, and after asking the manager to get it off and asking every waiter I could to get the night off I had to unfortunately go in and work. That didn?t bother me really, so I went in, smiled, and did an excellent job waiting the few tables I had. At the end of the night the bartender informed me that they were letting me go. She said ?Chad you don?t know the menu, there were a lot of complaints, and you yell out to the cooks. We have a 2 week trial period here and unfortunately it?s just not going to work out here.?

I really don?t know what kinds of complaints they had. I was making 20-25% tips on the few tables I had, and as for yelling out to the cooks or not knowing the menu I think that excuse is a bunch of bologna. The worst thing about it is, is that they fired me on my birthday. Why couldn?t they just call me the next morning and let me know they weren?t going to need me. This place really doesn?t care about people?s feelings and the food is really just average at best. It?s overpriced and the people that work there aren?t nice. I highly recommend not to go there when you could just go to Brutole right on the rte 114, rte 1 exchange.

Teresa?s stinks, don?t go there.
