Taste I don't beleive.
Even with the coupon, it was still pricy.
I had the bison ribs, which were marinated and smothered to death in the sauce. Probably marinated it way too long.
*They said they had a variety of elk, bison, and other meats, which they did, but You could not taste the authenticity of the game. The Elk still tasted like regular cow beef ( better, but not as good as freshly hunted elk--which my neighbor shared with me )
*The name is pretty cool, Don't get hooked into going. You can probably go somewhere better than that. I was sorely disappointed as a first come customer, even after ordering a recommended item.…
Best Restaurant in St. George. You won't be disappointed with the Gun Barrel Steak and Game House in St. George. The atmosphere was great it has an open grill where you can see and smell steaks being cooked over mesquite wood ? giving the feel of a cozy lodge in the Tetons! The staff was very friendly and attentive and the menu was impressive offering a variety of items ? from fish to a great selection of steaks and even Elk & Buffalo. I had the French onion soup & fried green tomatoes to start and Velvet Elk for my entree which was to die for! My wife, not being big on game, was not disappointed either ? she said her salmon was some of the best she has had! We to top off our dinning experience with good ol? homemade apple pie with a butter cream sauce. I suggest sharing dessert it was way more then one person could eat! I look forward to my next visit!!!…
