What can I say except this is a case of what you expect isn't what you get. Copy Kats has a surprisingly common show given the exorbitant prices. Liquor? They advertise it, but it isn't served. They only have a beer-wine license, but they hawk fake martinis as if they are real. Vulgar tactics if you ask me. As for the reason to go, the show itself? The Copy Katz Review left us extremely disappointed. I can't say who it is but one of my friends was a waiter there some months back and they said it has gone downhill since they opened. No one has been attending so they have cut way back on expenses and stuff. I remembered that the old emcee from La Cage - Gypsy - was appearing there and went mainly to see him (saw 'em in Hollywood years ago!) but he left as the show began to go downhill. The host I saw was foul-mouthed and not so funny. Mr Carr or something. Not entertaining and definitely not worth the high priced food and tickets. If someone were to ask whether they should see it or miss it, its a definite 'miss' as it ain't worth the aggravation. We even had trouble getting our tickets from the website and it wasn't like there was that many people even at the show. I can see why people are avoiding the place. As a note, I read on Craig's List from the actual owner of the showroom that the cast threw the show together in 5 hours. Well, it shows. I'm surprised they'd even admit that. Save your time and aggravation – visit a real restaurant with real liquor – and if a show is what you want, hang on until the Follies are running and give that theater group your support. They earn it (and certainly didn't throw it together in a matter of hours.) Definitely The Follies is worth every penny of what you pay. This show is just worth pennies.
Pros: Charlie Chaplin
Cons: Overpriced, NO liquor, air conditioning wasn't working well
