Interesting Menu Lovely Decor

I have become a regular at Wildfish. You can order all of your rolls with black rice instead of white. It is so tasty, full of texture, and much healthier. I have ordered the crunchy tuna roll on black rice and it is amazing. They quick fry the black rice so it is crispy and warm, top it with the tuna, and drizzle a sweet and delicious sauce over the top. Presentation is beautiful. Their salad dressing is the best I have ever had in a sushi restaurant. The decor is lovely and they often have live music.

THE BEST SUSHI BY FAR!

Have tried a lot of sushi throughout Chicago and the burbs, and Wildfish is by far the best! The seafood is always fresh, service is fantastic, wine selection top notch and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. The owner James is terrific. He is very personable and makes sure that his customers are enjoying their visit. Wednesday nights are a treat with live entertainment. Be sure to try the sea bass bento box- delicious!

Great Presentation, Great Atmosphere

My girlfriend and I are sushi aficionados (at least we like to think so), if only because we travel to every sushi restaurant we can find to enjoy it.

Anyway, we really like this place. Its hard to tell from the front of the store, but once you step inside, the atmosphere is very relaxing, very enjoyable. I particularly wanted to sit under a big palm-leafed plant they had, but they sat us by the window, which was just as great. And the booths were high-backed, so we didn't have distracting heads popping up all over.

The food itself was great. I don't remember if it was that pricey or not, definitly nothing that stood out, at least compared to other sushi places in the area. It was prepared magnificently! In fact, there was a candle inside an apple skin that lit up each individual sushi plate.

Anyway, highly recommended! Hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Incidentally, I'm hoping to go back there again tomorrow night (thats how i stumbled upon this listing) so I'll be sure to post if I have an different results...

Owner Hoky Pak hired his former teacher, Tanehide "Hide" Sekimoto, from Tokyo, to man this Deerfield offshoot of the Arlington Heights restaurant of the same name. Innovative dishes artfully presented include a jazz spring roll of eel, salmon, tuna, asparagus and mint leaf wrapped with a soybean sheet, and a jingle roll packed with red, green, black and yellow tobiko, spicy tuna and green bell peppers. A sexy space beckons with candles and banquettes.
