No RaRa here!. Ra Sushi is a fusion style Japanese restaurant with appealing d
Poor service, terrible sushi. Went to RA with my family. The service was terrible, waitress could not remember the order and food too an awfully long time to get to the table. The fish on the sushi was not fresh. Neither the chef or the waitress put wasabi or ginger on the sushi plates. I had to ask for both. I will never ever eat here again.…
TERRIBLE.
I've worked in 3 different sushi places before. All with amazing quality, taste, and authenticity.
I've got a keen eye for good sushi, and taste.
Not to be racist or anything... but there wasn't a single person working there that was asian.
From experience, i've noticed most places that hire people with a background related to the food they make, it'll taste better.
The food was god awfully expensive, and the fish was kind of old and dried out. Definitely food borne illness questionable.
I had to wait 15 minutes to get a drink refill, so eventually i just went up to the bar and got it myself.
I ordered a tuna roll which cost $6.
which took too long to make and wasn't fresh.
I could walk across the street and order a tuna roll for almost half price, and twice the fish quality.
Word of advice. If you're looking for authentic sushi, don't go to an americanized, over done contemporary, T.G.I. Fridays style sushi restaurant.…
Best Happy Hour in town!. Want a great..CHEAP..FUN happy hour? Come here!
Yuck...worst sushi I have had ever!!! Zip is way better!!. So me and my friend went here the other evening...our waitress was as smart as a block! Seriously, she was horriable. Paid no attention to detail, knocked over my friends soy sauce tray and didn't even bother to clean it, after coming to our table 3 times. So my friend finally said something, after we realized she was a ditz. Not to mention the sushi was not fresh at all and tasted like it had been sitting for a few days...I will never eat her again! Ra just lost like 12 customers because of this!! :P…
Poor service and mediocre sushi. Ra Sushi is a good spot for drinking and hanging out during their popular happy hours. However, their sushi is highly Americanized and they have on-going problems with fish quality. On at least two occasions, I've had tuna there as chewy as gum. Their prices are also very high, even for basic items like miso soup (I think they have the priciest--and most watered down--miso soup in the IE). Servers tend to have an attitude. I live right around the corner so even though we don't like it, we periodically cave in and eat there or get take out. Eighty percent of the time we get take out, they forget to put ginger and wasabi in with the sushi, which drives me crazy. The little extra effort to get to Zip Fusion around the corner is definitely worth it. I also recommend Sushi Kawa and Sushi Momo--both much less of a scene, but far better sushi.…
East Side. This is probably my favorite sushi spot east of LA. Its super fresh and the taste is excellent. Sushi lovers must try it
Great Happy Hour, $1 hot sake, yummy chicken wing. we walked into the ra restaurant on a Monday during happy hour. $1 hot sake, you cant beat that price anywhere else. The other drinks were strong as well. You must try the chicken wing & lobster spring roll! They are super yummy! Our waitress is really nice, but the service is a little bit slow. The ambiance is really nice! cool decoration and nice people. I'd come back in the future!…
great sushi. I love RA. My kids (9, 6 & 4yr old) love it, too. I'm always there for lunch or Thursday nites for 80's nite. Great atmosphere, great service and most important GREAT SUSHI. I highly recommend the salmon carrpaccio, spicy lobster roll and the squid salad. Oh! and Pinkberry is close by for dessert afterwards. I'm craving it now!!!!…
