Worst Salon Experience to Date
Contributor at Insider Pages
I would not recommend this salon to a family member, friend, or arch enemy. No one deserves to suffer this kind of beauty trauma.
I recently moved to the Eastern Shore and went to Nouveau because of its convenient location. I have had my hair cut and styled as well as my eyebrows waxed and this salon and both experiences were horrifying.
First, this is a salon that spends more time on styling than cutting. While I walked out of the salon thinking I was at least appeased, I was horrified the next morning when I washed and blow dried my hair myself. The ends were shaggy and it looked like I had a beauty school drop out cut my hair. It was completely unacceptable, I could have done better myself, blindfolded. It was so bad I didn't even want to give her a chance to fix my hair as I was worried it would look even worse. My only saving grace was I did not let them do my color. Which brings me to another warning. They will tell you they use a certain color line but they only use Goldwell. My stylist informed me that they tell people they use other lines such as Aveda, Wella, and Redkin, but really they have a conversion chart that they use to try to get the Wella color. I can stated that I was told they were a Wella Salon. Apparently, they only sell the shampoo and do not use the color.
Lastly, I had my eyebrows waxed. While I insisted I simply wanted them shaped up the woman argued with me about my brow shape. To make it worse, when I asked her just to clean them up, she proceeded to do what she wanted to do rather than what I requested. She removed half of my eyebrow and only left eyebrow around the center of my face. I no longer had arches or real eyebrows. I have been drawing them on for 8 weeks to date, attempting to let them grow in.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THIS SALON SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! I have never known anyone who was happy with the experien

Talk about a lack of qualification. Surely this must violate some beauty standard.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THIS SALON SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!.
- Pros: Conveniently located in Eastern Shore Center
- Cons: Awful customer service, unqualified stylists
