Very Good Indian Food. My wife and I have been here twice since moving into the New Haven area. We went alone and then brought her mom along for the second run. The decor is very welcoming and the ambience was very calming. The staff were very helpful in their explanation of the dishes and very responsive to our needs. It is a very nice place to go to after work or to bring a couple of friends or family. The first time my wife had the chicken biryani and I had the Sea bass with a mustard sauce which was just simply delicious. The second time we visited, my mother-in-law had the chicken tikka masala, my wife the Lamb Kabob, and I had the Angare duck kabobi. We also had a side of the chicken biryani since it was so delicious the first time. The food was just as delicious as before and the coup de grace was that the mother-in-law really loved it as well. I highly recommend Thali's to all looking for some good Indian food or just good food period.…
Be careful of double charging.. The food was great here, not so much the customer service. I have been to the New Canaan and New Haven venues. I took my parents out for dinner here only to check my bank account the next day to see that the restaurant charged me twice for our dinner. I don't know if was a honest mistake or intentional. If I hadn't checked my bank account the next day the restaurant would have charged me over $500.00. Just be sure to double check that they don't do the same.…
