Redding's Best Kept Lodging Secret
by traveler365 at Citysearch
Called Redding's best kept lodging secret - Come on ! But then I stayed there. IT WAS ! great place. Staff was exceptional. Our room was clean and spacious. The price was the best I'd gotten in town. Visted Redding many times in the past and this stay was our best.
There was free wireless. Fridge and microwave, blowdryer, coffee and coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Good cable and several HBO channels. Our room also had a stove.
We could see the Sundial Bridge from the parking lot and the wal there was spectacular. They suggested a place to dine - LaGondola - WOW ! Top notch.
They gave us an good sit down breakfast at the cafe' next door. Highly recomend this place. The spa and workout room was an unexpected blessing.
- Pros: Everything included
- Cons: Pool closed (winter)

My new home-away-from-home
by pedro29 at Citysearch
My job requires that I travel a lot. Usually I'm staying in an impersonal hotel with 200 rooms and a loud lounge on the property. On my last stay in Redding I stayed at the Travelodge and I felt like I was staying at home. The staff all called me by name. I felt like they actually wanted my business. And I slept like a baby. The management seems to be on top of keeping any noise to a minimum. Did I mention the price? I paid a good $30 less than I normally would at a place like Red Lion or La Quinta.
Bottom line, I'll be staying at the Redding Travelodge from now on.
- Pros: Quiet, clean, and affordable
