Hippest Bar in Somerville
by wineaficionado at Citysearch
Hands down, this is the best bar in Somerville so far as I'm concerned. The drinks are great and the bartenders cool, and it's the only bar in Somerville that has any sense of design. It's not your typical Somerville dive with cheap drinks- if that's what you're looking for and you have the aesthetic sensibilities of frat students, look elsewhere.
- Pros: Ambience, Drinks
The management group behind Mantra and Kashmir has opened a stylish nightspot in Davis Square.

In Short
Located next door to sister establishment Diva Indian Bistro, Diva Lounge provides Somerville scenesters with a visually striking nightlife destination. LED lighting, mirrored walls and curved wooden benches are just a few of the lounge's numerous eye-catching accoutrements. Designer cocktails and bottled beer prove popular, and hungry patrons choose from a menu of Indian-style tapas, including minted scallops in saffron sauce and sweet and sour Tandoori chicken wings.

Wow, based on the shocking article in the Tufts Daily paper against "people of color" (you can google it), I'm glad I wasn't there. Had I been, it would have made CNN, and most likely COURT TV.
- Pros: ambiance
- Cons: things may go down
Racism at Diva Lounge
by dougrs1 at Citysearch
"If you look at me like that one more time, I'm going to smash your head into that mirror!" I looked to my right and surprisingly found a middle-aged Caucasian woman staring straight at me. She was angry and muttering profanities. I wondered what I had done to provoke this woman....
Very Overrated

Inexperience bartenders, overpriced cocktails, and VERY bad design. Whoever though those bubble lights were cool should go back to design school. What a dissapointment.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Price, Design, Atmosphere
Great place to meet friends after work for drinks and merriment!
by sunsetgirl617 at Citysearch
I invited a group of friends to celebrate my bday with me at Diva's Lounge. The martini menu was impressive and the drinks were killer strong. I especially loved the Godiva martini. The service was great and the atmosphere was bubblerific. Gotta love the contemporary design. I felt like I was in a creamsicle cloud. I recommend that you call for reservations if you are meeting more than 4 people...
DIVA'S THE BEST
by pinyacolada at Citysearch
Absolutely love DIVA. The style of this bar is beautiful, done in very good taste. The martinis were fabulous, the best I've had. I recommend the tandoori wings. They were very tasty. Awesome dish. The service was great. Nothing to complain about here.
- Pros: Drinks, Menu, Service
Great Martini List, Unique Interior
by stylish_guy_on_a_budget at Citysearch
If you love creative martinis than Diva Lounge is worth the trip. The list of drinks has to be close to 30 including some unique Indian inspired selections.
The atmosphere is like walking into a cloud. The white plastic walls and ceiling are over the top, but the environment is strangely soothing considering how modern it is. It is a refreshing change from other trendy martini bars in Boston like City Bar and Noir that tend to be too dark.
My only complaints would be the size (kinda small) and the service. The staff was very friendly and mixed excellent drinks, but overall the service was amateurish. My GF described it best when she said, "It's like a bunch of college kids are running a bar" which is odd considering the drinks are 10-12 a pop (standard for boston martinis)
- Pros: Martini List, Unique Design, DJ some nights
- Cons: Amature Service, Tough to Mingle, Eclectic Crowd
New kid on the block

The first time I was told about Diva lounge I didn't even believe it existed so I had to go check it out for myself. From the second I entered to door I was very impressed. The decor is very edgy with its bubbles everywhere and once you meet the staff and get a feel for the place you will understand why it is PERFECT! The drink list is very extensive and the food is great (I recommend the fried calamari or the saffron scallops) and the staff is great. As of now, Diva Lounge is a hidden gem in hip Davis sq. and I reccomend everyone to go check it out before everyone else figures this out and there is a line in the street to get in.
- Pros: Location, Price, Staff
Great Atmosphere, Amazing Drinks, Friendly Staff

My friends and I visited Diva Lounge for the first time last weekend and were blown away by the decor and then were even more amazed by the outrageous drink menu. We had only planned on staying for one drink before we headed into Boston but ended up staying all night long. The entire experience was just as great as we had been told.
