We loved it!!!

I brought a group of girl friends here for my birthday!! We could not have a more accommodating and enchanting day. I had my hair colored by Tina and then cut by a girl with blonde hair and have now found my salon for ever.... Spa service were wonderful as well.

Bad Hair cut to the anniversary!!!!

I found Renata after search for a solon for quite a while. First time I went, I loved the way the guy cut my hair, so I went back....Second time I went, I got a stylist that had only been cutting hair for a few months. When I got home, showered and syled my hair, it looked and felt like I had 3 completely different hair cuts. A short swing bob, layers on the right and completely nothing on the left. YIKES..Requested a recut with a more experienced stylist, she did a great job with what was left of my hair. Thinking that it would be OK to visit with a back up stylist while mine was out for several weeks, realized that she did things to my hair that were so not necessary....Several hair cuts later, went back, ironically 1 year to the anniversary, I had another horrible cut, and this was by my usual stylist....I am thinking that they may have a signature cut at Renata salon that they try to push off on everybody...I'm scared to go back....

Not all that impressed

I went here a while back for a massage and hair cut. The massage was not any better than any other place. Decent I guess, but I haven't gone back for subsequent massages there because there was nothing remarkable about it. My haircut felt rushed to me and the stylist used those thining shears way too much. I think I could have gotten the same quality of haircut at Supercuts or something. She was very chattya nd didn't seem to be paying close attention to what she was doing.

Surprised by the ratings.

Not impressed. I went here with my bridal party and when I had made the reservations she called back to see if I would change the time to later I was upset because I couldn't go any later I was getting married! Hello! Then when we got there they first had our reservation all messed up the receptionist was rude when finally the owner came out and had to make things happen. They had my party all setup for different times and in different rooms. My bridal party was so worried we wouldn't all get done in time. We were supposed to get ready at the chapel but we had to start there with make-up and everything because it took so long. I had made this reservation months in advance and even confirmed it a week ahead of time how could this have happened?! I wanted us all to be done at the same time or as close to it as possible. Myself and two sisters were going to have our make-up professionaly done there but only had enough time for me. While having my make-up done some of my bridal party started to come into the room to talk and the owner came to tell us to be quiet because there were massages going on in the rooms next door and the walls were thin. We were just talking! It just started the day off stressful.

I loved the place!

I had already seen Renata Salon on city search and had some friends that told me to go try them out. I was so pleasantly surprised! The people made me feel right at home and the girl who colored and cut my hair was VERY good. I have very curly hair and usually can't seem to find some one who knows what they are doing. I really enjoyed myself and would recommend them to anyone. I also tried out the spa last week and was very impressed!

Great service and frienly atmosphere

I came to Renata for the first time and they have made a long time client out of me. I had a wonderful massage and tasty lunch with my friends. The table was set with crystal. They seem to be all about service! I am going back next week for a haircut and looking forward to trying them out down stairs. Great experience for me and my group of girl friends.

Incediable

Simple the best spa I've been too. Renata has a beautiful historic victorian home. The staff are all professional, welcoming and knowledgable. They have Bumble and Bumble product which are my favorite. My massage with karlie has to be the best I've ever had. I've been to alot of spa and I have to say Renata is the best.I loved it and can't wait for my next visit!

Best Overall Salon & Day Spa

Simple the best overall - the historic victorian house and ambiance is an unique experience. The staff were all young, professional and very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The stylist helped me select a a new color treatment and cut using their photo imaging service and I actually got that exact "look". They even sell the hair products so I can recreate the style myself. The appointments were on schedule and the little extras included hot towel treatments and Mango Mimosas! I loved it and can't wait for my next visit!

Soccer mom hangout

Ok so the ambiance is sweet and different and the mango tea is great but frankly the place isnt any better than great clips. I think the reason its so highly rated is because all these old haggard soccer mom's love it but its just not a place for the younger generation unless your mom drags you there. When I went I had a hair cut and I was just surrounded by fat middle aged women whom you could tell needed to have an adult conversation but were still somewhat incapable of having it without going into their stupid kids or husbands. The haircut section was loud and three barber chairs were cramed into a very small area thus I was forced to listen to a very agonizing conversation about some soccer mom's kids (gross). My hairdresser did not reciprocate a conversation and was more interested in other conversations going on in the room at the same time. The place is decent if you're a soccer mom, haggard, middle aged or older and have no life but if you're young I would suggest somewhere else.

• Pros: cute house, great mango tea
• Cons: too many middle aged fat women, older middle aged crowd

Wonderful hospitality

What a very pampering day for our group, the staff brought us wine and mango tea all day. We had a great lunch and the services were outstanding. The rooms were all in a Victorian decor which made you feel warm and cozy. Our massages knocked our socks off and we are planning our next year get together there as well. We called it our haven in heaven!
