Bad service less than average food
Contributor at Insider Pages
I have now given Quick Thai Bistro their 3rd and last chance. Each time I thought well it is close to home so I will give them another chance. Each time it got worse. The service was slow to the point I felt ignored and the food was worse than the service. My shrimp appetizer was awful. I took one bite and pushed them aside. I told the waiter when he brought my main course that they were so bad I could not take a second bite.. He said he was very sorry and took them away. Imagine how surprised I was when they were still on the bill when it came. When I asked he said he I'm sorry but you ordered them. He then walked off. I took off his tip to make cover the incredibly bad shrimp. My main course was a very small serving for the price and you had to search to find a piece of chicken. I am so sorry that Colleyville has one Thai restaurant and they do not care if they have any return customers.
Best Local Thai Food
by aggiebeav at Citysearch
If you haven't tried this local Thai family owned restaurant, you're missing out. The specially made peanut sauce makes the Pad Thai great. I tried the fresh rolls, which is also very good. There is a vegetarian menu, and BYOB is allowed. I enjoy Thai food and have tried out several local restaurants - this restaurant provides the best combination of food, atmosphere, and staff friendliness.
We LOVE Quick Thai for delivery!
by magicpen at Citysearch
We LOVE Quick Thai for delivery! We are always pleased with our service and quality of food that Qucik Thai delivers to us! We have eaten in the restaurant which is great but we have little kids therefore delivery is easier for our family. We always order the Vegtable fried rice, some curry dishes and soup. Our food always arrives fast and hot! We love this place and have it delivered at least 2 or 3 times a month. I highly suggest trying them out and maybe it will be your favorite place too!
Very Disappointed ... quality has declined over the past several months
by Sonia77 at Citysearch
We used to order from Quick Thai Bistro quite frequently and enjoyed the food. However, our past few experiences have been VERY poor. The food quality appears to have declined over the past several months - tough meats, bitter vegetables, and even undercooked white rice the last time we ordered. We've also noticed the level of service has declined (slow, unfriendly, and completely unapologetic - even hostile - when we've complained about poor quality food).
Unfortunate, as we were very excited to have Thai food so close to our home. Hope they are able to turn things around... In the mean time, we'll drive the extra 10 minutes to eat at Lava Grill (website lavaasiangrill) - great food, great service, and a far broader selection than Quick Thai Bistro.
Expensive average food and a slow service
by EthnicGourmet at Citysearch
I have eaten at this place several times in the last two years. The food has been generally very good, but over the last year the restaurant appears to be skimming. The portions are becoming smaller and the service is lot slower. I am looking for other good restaurants in the area, as this one is loosing its appeal and value. I don't mind the food, but the prices are exhorbitant for its quality and service.
- Pros: Decent Thai food
- Cons: Heavy on your wallet, menu not kid oriented, unpredictable service
Best Thai food in Dallas!
by goernie200 at Citysearch
That last reviewer MUST be a competitor or someone with an axe to grind - this is seriously the best food in Dallas - Thai. Can't imagine for the life of me why someone would write a horrible review for this gem. The food is tasty, fresh, made to order, flavorful and the staff is great.
The menu is from home recipes of the owner/chef. This is the food they grew up on and it is great. This is authentic Thai. Seriously, great. I can't imagine why that last reviewer would say such evil things about this place. Try it - it really is good. You also BYOB so this keeps the price very affordable. ENJOY!!
- Pros: Incredible, tasty food
- Cons: none
horrible period

I havent a clue what anyone is talking about this is the WORST food I have ever had and I have been to many many thai resturants around the world but this food is horrible and the atmosphere is bland at best.
The surprise is that the food is fantastic but the people make it a magical experience
by smgptxusa at Citysearch
When you find this place you will be first impressed with how clean and wonderful the atmosphere is. Then the food is incredible. If you have an adventurous taste then try something different. I was more impressed with the employees and their wonderful attitude. They bring a magical experience to this wonderful dining experience.
Best Thai food in Dallas - wonderful find...
by goernie999 at Citysearch
I consider myself a foodie. I love to cook and love restaurants that take what they do seriously. Well...the chef at Quick Thai is the best Thai chef I've ever encountered. I've been all over the world and these people are wonderful and the food is exceptional. Seriously - you must try this. Bring a great bottle of wine and relax. Promise - you won't be disappointed. This is a gem.
Enjoy....
- Pros: Authentic Thai - fresh everything - family recipes - price
- Cons: really can't think of one
It doesn't serve wine -- One of many reasons I like Quick Tahi
by russ911 at Citysearch
The food is exceptionally excellent, probably the result of their selecting the best local ingredients when possible. I asked; they said that they get most of their food from local farmers' markets.
I love good wine and always try to enjoy a glass of red wine with my evening meal.
The fact that Quick Thai does not serve wine is a plus because my wife and I have a wine caller with more than 600 bottles of wine. We cannot take our wine to a restaurant that serves wine as it is against Texas law for an establishment with a liquor license to allow outside wine to be brought in.
Thus, we can take our own bottle of wine and enjoy it with the meal.
Let me also state that too many restaurants don't serve red wine at the correct temperature. A typical red should be served between 60 and 65 degrees. A young red should be served between 55 and 60 degrees. I've had wine served at a temperature as high as 80.4 degrees (I carry a thermometer), so Quick Thai is one of the few places where I can enjoy both excellent food and wine.
As a result, a group of my wine-drinking friends regularly meet there to enjoy great food, great wine and great companionship -- Now that's a restaurant!
- Pros: Fresh food, great for heart-healthy items, allows us to bring in our own wine, inexpensive.
- Cons: Late afternoon sun beats down on some table.
Best Thai Food in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area!!!
by narigasigh at Citysearch
This restaraunt is always spotlessly clean, service is excellent, and food is wonderful. The food is very fresh and made to order. The restaraunt is BYOB and the grocery store next door has a great selection of wine. I highly recommend summer roll , dumpings, and hot sour soup for a starter. For the main course, my favorite is the Panang Curry with shrimp.
