grandmother chic

lasso self-control before entry. i know it has glitter and i know that excites you, but shoulder pads that size are good for no one.. unless you race around a grassy rectangle for a living, snorting and fighting over oblong balls.
ridiculous dress with epic-shoulder pads aside, this store really excited me! i'm always inwardly disappointed by thrift stores in my area, but this one really has some sass! 20 dollars for a well-kept, leopard print dress from god-knows-when? i can do that!
i love the large layout, the dazzling array of printed blouses, big tacky furs, whimsical hats, and home-goods as well.
4 shiny ones for razzle-dazzle you can afford without grumbles! :D
- Pros: sparkly hats, tasty dress
- Cons: shoulder pads the size of texas

Owner Great/ Staff Snobby & Rude

I started taking my clothes to Poor Littel Rich Girl for about 4 years, when the owner had the tiny little location on Highland Ave in Davis Square. She was wonderful, so sweet and helpful. I felt really good working with her. When she moved to the bigger location on Elm I was so happy for her that her bussiness was thriving and it was fun to see more vintage items being sold there. The best part of her store was that she didn't only accept very high end designer items, she also accepted Gap, Old navy etc. Which is helpful to those people who have clothes from those types of store that are still in really good condition. However, one she moved she doesn't work in the store as much and she took on employees who have really changed the atmosphere. They are very rude, you can be stading at the counter waiting for assistance while they chat away about nothing. The customer service is terrible. And now they have become VERY picky about what they accept. I'm very disappointed.
- Pros: Range of selection from vintage to brand new overstock items
- Cons: The staff
Yuck

Ewwww, this place has wannabe all over it with so over inflated prices and snobby consignment clerks playing London shop girl. Besides the merchandise is a rip off and fails to deliver - consignment was never meant to be so expensive. This is what I hear from everyone that goes there, particularly putting up with rudeness from the clerks. Try Bobbi at Something Extra in Arlington.
A one-stop shop for a vintage/modern mix
by jenious at Citysearch
Poor Little Rich Girl is my local vintage stop. I've spent too many lunch breaks shuffling through the racks of vintage consignment. I like the blend of old school and modern clothing---nothing like finding a 60s style sweater and a pair of designer jeans in less than an hour!
- Pros: stock updated frequently, metered parking

the girls that work there are bitches. the clothing is okay , there shoe collection is whack. but back to the girls that work there; [[the elitist wannabe hipsters]] they'll totally ignore you and talk amongst themselves unless you don't look up to par on the financial hierarchy in which case they'll stay on your heiney from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out of that gaudy poser atmosphered store and down to the goodwill where the cool people are.
- Pros: there's an ice cream store down the street
- Cons: everything else
Best consignment shop anywhere! New location is great!

I have never walked out of this store empty handed. The shop owner is so sweet and knowlegable and always finds the most stylish designer clothes! I love to shop here! Most of my wardrobe is from Poor Little Rich Girl!
- Pros: Bigger store with more room to shop and open later.
- Cons: Parking can be hard so don't look just park in the 2 hour lots!
