Great steaks and burgers by Larry (1-Palmer) M. at InsiderPages

Frequently, we find ourselves in the Prattville. We love to stop at the Longhorn Steakhouse for steaks, but most often for a late lunch we'll have those great, juicy burgers. I cannot remember ever ordering one that has not been cooked exactly as we had ordered. The wait staff seldom allows my tea glass to be empty for more than a few seconds (I work those folks, love that sweet tea). They are always friendly and have the most congenial attitudes.
National chain rustles up rib eyes, T-bones and fillets in a kid-friendly, Lone Star-inspired setting.

In Short
One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.
