SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!. My family and I regularly eat at both Steak-n-Shakes in Danville. Most of the time we chose our health factor (non-smoking restaurant) over service. The north side Steak-n-Shake restaurant offers TERRIBLE service!! We've only received good service twice when we went there, both times it was by male servers. The female servers seem to be concerned with everything BUT their customers.

This last trip to the north side Steak-n-Shake, I ordered a chicken fingers dinner with a salad. My salad never arrived and when we finally got our meal I had to ask where it was. Furthermore, while our server was standing next to our table, my son asked for dessert. I told him "not right now". The server STILL proceeded to ask, "So are you ready to order dessert?" I had to explain to her that, "NO, we are NOT ready to order dessert RIGHT NOW."

While she was busy counting her tips, we finished our meals and waited for her to come back by and check on us. We waited nearly 10 minutes for her to return! When she did return she offered to get us to go cups, which we accepted. She also took our order for our desserts. We ordered TWO SMALL shakes. When she left to go make the shakes, I took a drink of my soda and it was a REGULAR coke and I had ordered a DIET VANILLA coke.

She then served us our shakes. ONE SMALL and ONE LARGE. Because we didn't WANT a large shake, we had her go and make a small one. It was in fact though, just the large one poured into a small cup. I did finally get my diet vanilla coke to go also.

You might think, "Ok, so that was one visit where you had bad service." Sorry, as I said previously, this is a good restaurant to go to if you want a non-smoking environment. If you are looking for good service, go to the south side Steak-n-Shake.…
