Great reliable value and some great extras

This was my first time at a LaQuinta. i guess it's in the same category as Best Westerns, Courtyard Marriott, Holiday Inn Express. The price was reasonable for Ashland (very touristy so most motels/hotels are spendy). One perk, they're outside of city limits so you only pay teeny tax, not regular city hotel tax. Nice extras- the dining room was open all day/night, so you could have coffee/tea and even oatmeal if you wanted. great room, clean hotel. only downer, teeny tiny workout closet! haha
- Pros: dining room, deluxe breakfast. parking. friendly service
- Cons: outside of ashland, can't walk to downtown
Distinctive whitewashed and tile-roofed chain offers convenience and consistency.

In Short
Since opening its first location next to the San Antonio World's Fair in 1968, this well-known chain has become synonymous with consistency and reasonable rates. Room conveniences include data port phones with voice mail, work spaces, coffeemakers, irons, hair dryers and TVs with premium channels, movies-on-demand and video games. Budget-conscious travelers appreciate the free continental breakfast and families traveling with children like the pool and kids-stay-free policy.
