Bad Experience

Terrible service today. Forty-five minutes from order time to get served. They weren't that busy, just forgot my order. Then told me the fish tacos take longer to prepare. Shame on them.

Fun place to go

My husband and I love to go to Katie Downs all year 'round. We love the French Dip Sandwich, Chef Salad and Chop Salad. The atmosphere is casual and in good weather, the deck is a great option for those that like to eat outside. In cooler weather, they have heaters to make it comfortable, too. Inside, in the summer, there are sometimes a lot of flies because they open all the windows. In the winter, it is sometimes a bit too cool inside, but the food is good, so we just dress warmly. I've noticed the younger set can sit around in shirtsleeves, so maybe it's just us older folks that get chilly.

Great Pizza Great Place

The incredible pizza at this pizza "tavern" is worth every penny and more. It doesn't feel much like a tavern but more like a pizza cafeteria....one kids would dream of...adult kids that is. With flat panel TV's playing the sports you want to watch, you can enjoy the best pizza I have yet to find in Washington. Ordering at the bar is no hassle compared to the awesome food and great beer. I joined this citysearch simply because I had to give them a good review!!

Expect to Pay for the Location

Visit #1 - we left with a bummer attitude. FIRST OF ALL, on the BACK of the menu on the VERY bottom in TINY print, it says: "order at the bar". We sat outside & it took us 10 annoying minutes to figure that out. Beer selection is very good, but $4.50/pt. The fish from fish-n-chips looked burned. Nice deck, the only one open last Sunday afternoon on Ruston, but I'd rather sip a Fat Bastard Ale from a paper bag at an adjacent park.

Do you smell that?

During one of the hot summer nights that we have been having, My company and I were traveling down ruston way and feeling a bit hungry. We stopped at the parking lot across the street intending to go to their competior, when the aroma came bursting into our senses. Buy the time we ordered and promptly recieved our food out on the well lit deck with heaters for the brisk evening winds, we knew that we were in love. I will tell every and all my friends about this wounderful place to be and eat. Might I recomend a pizza with their great white sauce or the fish and chips are to get excited about. The beer on tap is also a great varity and is always perfect for that hot summer night. Enjoy!

Casual and Comfy Chic!

Great place to get together after work for pizza and drinks. Great views and wonderful food. We highly recommend Kate Downs!
