August 22, 2007, 6 pm, was the worst experience. After 1 hour of waiting we have to wait 1:30 more. The opposite was told in the beginning. The hostess and manager, tried to make all kind excuses for their mess-ups. We left.

Remarkable steak and wine

Wildfire always makes the shortlist of dinner places in the suburbs. It is an extremely busy place, but with a reservation (good luck getting one for a Saturday night, btw) I've generally been seated promptly. Parking is a mess. Using the inexpensive valet service is a good idea. And, as another reviewer notes, it is generally a loud place. Tables are relatively close to each other. I like getting a booth.

Despite that mixed preface, I highly recommend this place. The food makes up for a wait, if you have one. The filet medallion trio is always on the list of specials. I love their horseradish crust. I liked their NY strip and shrimp combo, but they don't offer that special any longer unfortunately.

I like their sides as well, especially the wild rice. They have a good selection of wines as well. Overall, it's consistently a very good dining experience.

Delicous Chopped Salad

While getting into this place at night is a nightmare, sometimes worth the wait. They have very consistent, great food. From the filets with toppings (choose your favorite) to the chopped salad to the martini trio, this restaurant hits a home run. Lunch time is a great time to go, busy as well so dont arrive right at noon, but the mustard chicken sandwich on the pretzel roll hits the spot!

Treat Yourself

this is our all-time favorite restaurant and I am very picky. The service is awesome--very attentive without annoying. The food has always been great. The blue-cheese encrusted filet and chopped salad are must haves. The martini's are great too. The seafood is fresh and tasty. Make your reservations way in advance thought.

Top Notch Steak

I am not much of a steak eater at all except when I go to Wildfire. Their Blue Cheese Crusted Filet is the best.

Better than the Butcher Shop!

We were planning to go to our regular steak place, The Butcher Shop, but found that it was closed. We sort of stumbled upon Wildfire and what a great place it was - great steaks and a fun atmosphere.
