Huge portions

3 friends and I went after running a 5k, so we were starving. Mimi's has huge portions of home styled food. I had the pot roast (could've used more gravy) and mashed potatoes and excellent grilled fresh vegetables. A friend ordered a small quiche and fruit combo and was overwhelmed by the size. Another friend got chicken fried steak and was surprised to find two big steaks on his place when it came out. They also serve this great raisin-nut bread along with regular French bread with your meal. Oh and the French onion soup was to die for!
- Pros: Good value, Atmosphere
Terrible experience

I would give Mimi's a 1 rating except I know it is pretty popular and the food wasn't bad. I just had one of those bad "I am not going back there" experiences. They forgot about us, barely remembered us, forgot about us, brought us the wrong thing ordeal. I am sure it doesn't happen to everyone who goes, and maybe we will give it another try sometime but for now we are out of Mimi's
- Pros: Popular
- Cons: Terrible Service
Atmosphere rules at this French New Orleans-themed spot that serves traditional American fare.

In Short
Decorated like a French country bistro with jazzy New Orleans overtones, Mimi's Café was named after a lost love of Arthur Simms, who started the restaurant in 1978 in Anaheim, Calif., with his family. The ambience could only be upstaged by the menu filled with traditional American favorites. Breakfast includes omelets, waffles, muffins and fresh-squeezed juices, while lunch and dinner feature comfort-food classics like pot pie and pot roast, deli-style sandwiches, burgers, pastas, steaks and salads.

One of the most enjoyable restaurants around. The staff is as friendly as they come, and the variety of food is unurpassed. Though it calls itself, a cajun cafe, you can find everything from roast beef to chicken pie. The breakfast menu is awesome, and the pan perdue (stuffed french toast) is my favorite. The waiters and managers are very attentive without being pushy, and the food is really good - like home cooking!
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
If for any reason you have a problem, speak to the manager and you will be more than compensated.
- Pros: food is excellent
- Cons: dont care for the crab cakes very much - not spicy enough

I was surprised at the food here. Mimi's takes everyday foods and turns them into unique creations that are delightful! And, the portions are very hearty. I even liked the coffee which is Seattle's Best. I was so surprised. Their muffins are huge and taste very good. Highly recommended, but get their early on Saturdays and Sundays -- it gets crowded fast.
- Pros: Excellently prepared foods
- Cons: noisy when resturaunt is at full capacity

Mimi's serves generous portions of some of the best food out there. Salmon, chicken, pasta...no matter what it's hard to go wrong here. Make sure to order the french onion soup, all cheesy and w/croutons. Probably the best soup in the area. Their bread service includes a wonderful sweet, nutty bread that is indiscribeable. Definitely a place to visit.
