I went to this salon one day twhen I was so frustrated and tired of my hairstyle that I wanted to scream! Not only did I get right in (which I found out later ws a miracle...they are usually very busy) but the gals there were super helpful and had some really cute ideas on what to do with my hair.

Since I am a somewhat middle aged woman, I was a leary at first to let these guys work on my hair....after all, orange streaks wouldn't really go down very well at the next PTO meeting, but when I voiced my concerns they agreed that they had ideas that were cute and somewhat trendy but not so much that I would scare the dog when I returned home!

In a short while they had finished and to my delight they had done a really nice job. not only did my heair look and feel healthier but it swung in a nice bouncy style that I hadn't ever envisioned myself wearing!

To be honest, I don't know how many times I will actually return here as the prices are a bit more than I expected but I must admit they did a good job and I was complimented often on my new hairstyle the first few days afterwards.

PROS: ...nice, trendy ideas...willing to listen to you

CONS: ...a bit on the pricey side but worth it for a splurge

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The absolute WORST haircut I have ever gotten! I went in on 2/9/08 thinking this was a hip, trendy place and they would do a good job. WRONG!!! I left disappointed but thought I would give it a few days to get used to it. After a few days I figured out it was a bad haircut and there was going to be no getting used to it. I called back on 2/15/08 and asked if they could fix it. They had no open slots to fit me in so it was a big, fat NO! I walked into The Wave Length (which I HIGHLY recommend - 337-4173 - it is just a few doors down from Groovy Katz and they are very professional, not professional wanna be's) hoping that they could help me. They got me right in and were shocked at the "cut" I had received. There were parts that they could do nothing with because when it was razored chunks were taken out. Bottom line, Groovy Kats is not the place to go. They do not stand by their work and I had to go pay another salon to fix their mess. Like I said, go to The Wave Length - 337-4173.

My hair stylist Megan was great. I had my hair cut and highlighted. She did exactly what I wanted. I love my new style. I would recommend her to any one who like's a stylist who listen's to you.
