Purchased wedding gown there. Some staff are knowledgable, but many are local high school girls. My daughter was measured, and told she did not need extra length, when gown arrived and tried on, it was too short and she could not wear the crinoline underskirt the dress was designed for to make the skirt fuller because it caused it to be hitched up even higher and looked totally wrong. The staff poo-poohed this by insisting the dress was long enough, but it was at least 2 inches too short. They refused to take accountability for this, and there was nothing we could do about it. Hopes is one of those bridal stores where you are treated well until they have your check. Then they hide behind their no return policies and barely have the time of day for you. We spent well over a thousand dollars just for the wedding dress and accessories. Then, to make matters worse, one of the new staff tried to tell me I still owed for the dress - luckily I had my original receipt and cancelled check with me. The corridor area now has several new bridal stores, so there are great alternatives to Hopes - I recommend you shop at them. Hopes may be O.K. if everything goes smoothly, but if not, don't trust them to make things right.
