Worst in a while

I am the restaurant manager in a very nice place, and this experience was the very worst I've had in a restaurant so far. It started with our "host" (who turned out to e the manager) mistaking the number in our party. Next was the NON service. A couple in our party got their own drinks at the bar, more than once. The birthday boy brought wine and champagne and there weren't any flutes for the bubbles. They brought out soup for the table to start with, but it was kinda hard to eat with a fork and a steak knife. The staff was all in uniform, shirts tucked in, except for our waitress. At least two people at our table asked for water right away, which came mid-entree. The tile wall in the bathroom was stained with something you don't want to see in any restaurant. The appetizer ordered was brought out wrong. The wineglasses provided were stained. The service was super slow. There was an entree brought out that didn't belong to anyone on the table. The "manager" ("host") was not visable on the floor. He was wearing jeans and a flowered shirt. Multiple steaks were overcooked and cold, Side dishes were cold, Some side dishes were brought out very late, and ended up to be undercooked as were forgotten. Steak asked to be redone, never got done. Manager tried to make up for this taking care of 2 meals out of 12, and a non needed round of drinks on the house. Will never go here again and will not recommend this place to any of the many restaurant people I know and run in to.
- Pros: family friendly
- Cons: plentyfull, read review
Food Quality Has Declined!

We have always used to Love AJ Spurs. It was a great place to eat.
The new problems we experienced last time:
The soup that they give you comes with beans. They used to be black beans, but now now they are just mushy pinto beans. The taste gross in the soup.
The other thing is they potatoes they give you. They are cooking with onions. Last time, the potatoes were just scraps and there were way more onions.
Finally, the root beer float. It has been cut in size by about half.
I'm very disappointed in AJ Spurs.
Service and food quality is not what it used to be!

A.J. Spurs was one of our favorit "local" restaurants to go to for special occasions. Tonight when we arrived (at 5:00) we were told our wait would be about 45 minutes, even though more than half the tables were and remained empty. 98 minutes later we were finally seated. Our waiter took our drink order within 5 minutes and took our order upon serving our drinks after only 5 minutes. Our food was served 48 minutes later. The two steaks were very well over cooked and the two pieces of halibut were like rubber. This is most definitely a restaurant we will not be returning to.
- Pros: ?
- Cons: Parking, service, food quality

this restaurant if very nice! the food is delicious. their avacado ranch dressing is fantastic!!!!!! to die for. you also get a lot wiht your meal. it comes with soup, salad, potatoes, your entree and after dinner you can either choose from a root beer float or an after dinner liquor. the prices are average for a nice steak house but you get a lot for your money. it is also a romantic place if you wanted to go on a date.
You leave there feeling good.

A.J. Spurs is my all-time favorite restaurant. The food is great there is so much of it. The service is very good and the routine of your meal is in a timely but comfortable fashion. You walk out of here feeling good about your dinner and service.
- Pros: Lot of food, Great atmosphere
- Cons: Parking
