Pricey but family-friendly beachfront suites

The Scene
This all-suite hotel is located on seven miles of beachfront, which is one of its primary attractions--there's an attractive courtyard area that opens directly out onto the sand. The prices are more a reflection of the views and proximity to the water than the luxury of the accommodations.

The Details
The 126 suites are separated into beach and tower lodgings. All come with private balconies and display varying decors and degrees of renovation. The beach suites were given complete face-lifts in 2003 and feature new furnishings and fixtures. Kitchens include microwaves, dishes and complimentary dishwashing. For the cooking-impaired, there are also a gourmet restaurant and cafe on-site. This property may be low on facilities, but guests enjoy full privileges at the nearby Registry Resort.
