This resort is quintessential Old Florida. It has been owned and operated by the Watkins family for three generations. The accommodations are dispersed among six pink multi-storied buildings surrounded by orchids. The Sunset Beach bar is a popular spot with locals and tourists, who come to watch the sunset at Old Naples' only watering hole directly on the beach.

The Details
This hotel consists of 318 rooms on 125 acres of gardens. The rooms can vary quite a bit in upkeep and charm, with the Watkins and Penthouse wings offering the most seclusion and space. It's also possible to rent an efficiency with an eat-in kitchen. The resort includes a golf course, tennis courts and spa on-site, a rarity in this neighborhood. There are four restaurants, and tea is served in the lobby in the afternoons. A concierge can arrange outings to local attractions. During the summers, the hotel and consequentially the pool are filled with families.
